5 2 Description 2.1 Application This high-pressure washer has been de veloped f or domestic use within: - Car , motorbike, boat, cara- van, tr ailer , patio/dr ive/fl ag- stones, w oodwork, brickwork, barbecue, garden furniture, lawn mo wer Section 5 describes the use of the high-pressure washer f or vaious cleaning jobs .
6 3 Bef ore y ou star t using y our pressure washer 3.1 Mounting of trolle y handle and hose hook 1. Mount the trolley handle (12) on the machine. 2. Mount the hose hook (14) on the handle. 3.2 Mounting of trolle y hand- le and hose reel (models with hose reel) 1.
7 3.5 Mounting of high pres- sure hose Attach the high pressure hose (4) to the spra y gun (7). Detach the high pressure hose by pressing the pa wl (A). 4 Operating y our pressure washer 4.1 Connection of high pres- sure hose 1. Mount the high pressure hose on the outlet (3).
8 4.3 W ater connection An ordinar y 1/2" garden hose of min. 10 m and max. 25 m will be suitable . NO TE : Connec- tion to the public mains according to regulations. IMPORT ANT! Only use water without any impurities. If there is a risk of running sands in the inlet water (i.
9 4.5 Star t the machine (when connected to open con- tainers (suction mode)) The washer can tak e in water from a rain w ater tank as an e xample. The hose f or the wa- ter supply must not be too long, appro x. 5 m. Make sure that the w ater tank is not placed on a lower le vel than the machine.
10 5.2 T ypical fi elds of application Below y ou will fi nd a description of a lot of cleaning tasks which can be solved b y a pressure washer from Nilfi sk in association with accessories and detergents.
11 6 After using y our pressure washer 6.2 Winding up of electric cable and high pressure hose T o av oid accidents, the electric cable and the high pressure hose should alwa ys be winded carefully up . Wind up the electric cable and the high pressure hose on the appropriate hooks.
12 6.4 W all storage The pressure washer can be stored on a wall on a special wall hook (not standard). Only mount the wall hook on a sturdy wall. Adjust the length of the screws and siz e of ra wl- plugs to the type of wall.
13 W ARNING! Alwa ys disconnect the electrical plug from the sock et prior to maintenance or cleaning. T o ensure a long and problem free working lif e, please tak e the f ollowing advice: Wash out w ater hose, high pressure hose, spr a y lance and accessories before mounting.
14 7.3 Cleaning of machine vents The machine should be kept clean so as to let cooling air pass freely through the ma- chine vents . 7.4 Greasing of couplings T o ensure an easy connec- tion and that o-rings do not dr y up , the couplings should be greased regularly .
