13 OPERA TION T O ST ART ENGINE (See Fig. 5) When star ting the engine for the fi rst time or if the engine has run out of fuel, it will take e xtra cr anking time to mov e fuel from the tank to the engine. • Sit on seat in operating position, depress clutch/brak e pedal and set parking brake .

16 MAINTENANCE V- B E LT S Check V -belts f or deterioration and wear after 100 hours and replace if necessar y . The belts are not adjustab le. Re place belts if they begin to slip from w ear . TRANSAXLE COOLING K eep transaxle free from build-up of dir t and chaff which can restrict cooling.
17 MAINTENANCE CLEANING • Clean engine, battery , seat, fi nish, etc. of all foreign matter . • Keep fi nished surf aces and wheels free of all gasoline, oil, etc.
