T o reduce the risk of fire, electrical shoc k, or personal injur y , mount to outlet box marked “ Acceptable for Ceiling F an S uppor t ” using the mounting hardware provided with the outlet box.

6 FAN PREP ARA TION PERMA•LOCK™ HARD W ARE (not to scale) Pr epare for fan installation as follows: Step 4a. Remove the c aution shield f rom the motor . Step 4b. U sing the provided Allen wrench (attached to the paper motor warning shield), loosen the Al len set screw attached to the motor coupling.
7 S S S S S IE IE IE IE IE NA NA NA NA NA ™ ™ ™ ™ ™ Installation/Replacement of Incandescent Light bulbs Step 5. Remove the tw o screws f ro m the cover door as shown and lif t door f r om motor . Install a 40-watt S-11 ty pe incandescent lightbulb in the soc ket.
8 HANGING THE FAN Step 8a. T o hang the fan body in the c anopy , hold the fan body firmly and insert the ball into the canopy opening. Check that no wires are pinched. Rotate the fan body until the slot in the ball fits into the pin opposite the canopy opening.
