User instructions 3. Operating instructions Once the di shwasher has been corre ctly installe d, prepare for use as follows: • Adjust the w ater softeni ng system; • Add the regenera ting salt; • Add the rinse a id and deter gent.

User instructions ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid helps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formatio n of scale deposits and staining; it is automat ically added to the water during the fin al rinse cy cle, from t he container situated on t he inner si de of the door .

3.4 Using t he basket s The dishw asher ha s a capac ity of 12 place-s ettings , inclu ding serv ing dishes. EN 50242 STA NDARD LOAD S FOR CERTIFICA TION BODIES LOWER BA SKET UPPER BA SKET UPPER BA SKET ( models with cutlery racks ) The upper ba sket must be set in t he low posit ion.
LOWER BASKET The low er basket receiv es the fu ll force of t he lower spray arm, and should theref ore be u sed for the “toughest” ite ms with a heavier degree of soiling.
CUTLERY BASKET The basket h as removab le top gr ids into which ite ms of cutlery can be inserted to keep the m properly spaced and allow water to pass between them effectively . The cutlery supports and central lid are in the bag of The cutler y should be arranged i n an orderly manner inside t he basket, w ith the hand les pointin g downw ards.
LOADING THE UPPER BASKET Load plates f acing forw ard; cups, bowls etc. mus t always be facing downw ards. The left-hand side of the b asket can be loaded w ith two layers o f cups and glasses. T he cent re can be f illed with pl ates and s ide- plates, fitte d upright int o the sup ports provided .
ADJUSTING THE UPPER BASKET Version A: the upper basket can be adj usted in t wo positions , according to the user’s needs and according t o the height of the dish es in the low er basket.
Version C: the top ba sket can be set in three differe nt positions on both sides. T he rac k must be lev el on both s ides. To raise the b asket lift it, pulling on the front edge (1) , to th e first or second catch depe nding on the height requ ired.

User instructions 48 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT x It is advisable to periodically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip the tabs, turn them anticlockwise.
BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLO NGED DISUSE: • Check that ther e are no depo sits of s ludge or rust inside the water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supply tap for a few minut es. • Plug the power cor d back i nto the soc ket.
If the dishes fail t o dry or remain dull, check that: • there is r inse aid insi de the spec ial contai ner; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct ; • the deterg ent used is of good quality an d has not l ost its effectivene ss (for e xample, thro ugh incorre ct storage, wi th the box left open).
