12 ONE-PIECE DOOR WITHOUT TRA CK •W ith the door fully open and parallel to the floor , measure the distance from the floor to the top of the door . • Using a stepladder as a suppor t, raise the opener to this height. • The top of the door should be le vel with the top of the motor unit.

ALL ONE-PIECE DOORS 1. Assemble the Door Arm: • F asten the straight and cur ved door arm sections together to the longest possible length (with a 2 or 3 hole ov erlap). • Mak e sure the garage door is fully closed. Connect the straight door arm section to the door brac ket with the 5/16"x1-1/4" cle vis pin.
24 Without a properly installed safety reversal system, persons (particularly small children) could be SERIOUSL Y INJURED or KILLED by a closing garage door . • Incorrect adjustment of garage door travel limits will interfere with proper operation of safety reversal system.
ADJUSTMENT STEP 2 Adjust the Force F orce adjustment controls are located on the back panel of the motor unit. F orce adjustment settings regulate the amount of power required to open and close the door . If the f orces are set too light, door trav el may be interrupted by nuisance re versals in the down direction and stops in the up direction.
ADJUSTMENT STEP 3 T est the Safety Reversal System TEST • With the door fully open, place a one-inch board (or a 2x4 laid flat) on the floor , centered under the garage door . • Operate the door in the down direction. The door m ust re verse on striking the obstruction.
OPERA TION 27 Using Y our Garage Door Opener Y our Secur ity ✚ opener and hand-held remote control hav e been factory programmed to a matching code which changes with each use, randomly accessing ov er 100 billion ne w codes.
