3. Setup 6 11/19/2010 11:07 AM 3. S ETUP AC Power This fixture is auto-ranging and runs on 100~240 V AC, 50/60 Hz power. To determine the power requirements for a pa rticul ar fixture, see the label affixed to the back plate of the fixture or refer to the fixture’s s pecifications chart.

Rigging Be sure that the structure can support the wei ght of the fixture. Pl ease see the “Technical Specifications” section of this m anual for a detailed weight listing.
4. Operating Instructions 8 11/19/2010 11:07 AM 4. O PERATING I NSTRUCTIONS Configuring the Starting Address The Intimidator™ Scan LED 100 fixture uses 6 DMX channels. In this DMX configuration/personality, the highest channel that the fixture may be se t to in order to function properly is 507 .
4. Operating Instructions 9 11/19/2010 11:07 AM Standalone This fixture has several options for operating without a DMX controller. These options are accessed via the DIP switches on the back of the fixture. Please see the chart below for further explanation.

5. Appendix 12 11/19/2010 11:07 AM DMX Primer There are 512 channels in a DMX connection. A fixt ure capable of receiving DMX will require one or a number of sequential channels. The user must assign a starting address on the fi xture that indicates the first channel reserved in the cont roller.
5. Appendix 13 11/19/2010 11:07 AM Cable Connectors Cabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR connector on the other end. Do not allow contact be twe en the common and the fixture’s ch assis ground. Grounding the common can caus e a ground loop, and y our fixture may perform erra tically.
5. Appendix 14 11/19/2010 11:07 AM 3-Pin to 5-Pin Conversion Chart If you use a controller with a 5-pin DMX output connector, you will ne ed to use a 5-pin t o 3-pin adapter.
5. Appendix 15 11/19/2010 11:07 AM General Maintenance To maintain optimum performance and minimize wear, fixtures should be cleaned frequently. Usage and environment are contributing factors in determining frequency. As a general rule, fixtures should be cleaned at least twice a month.
