6 Befor e oper ation Selecting the Language The oven comes set for English. Y ou can change the language. To change, pr ess the LANGUAGE button until the desired language is displayed.
7 Using the ST OP button MODE SET CLOCK” . This information will appear if you have already set the language with the LANGUAGE button. If this occurs during cooking, the progr amme will be erased. The time of day will also be erased. 5. When you want to reset the time of day , follow the above example again.
8 Ener gy save mode Y our oven comes set for the energy save mode. If you do nothing for 3 minutes after a preceding oper ation, i.e. closing the door or at the end of cooking, the power will go off automatically . T o restor e power on, open the door .
9 Like radio and television waves, micr owaves are electromagnetic waves. Microwaves ar e produced by a magnetr on inside the microwave oven, and these vibr ate the molecules of water present in the food. The friction this causes produces heat, which ensur es that the food is defrosted, heated or cooked through.
10 Example: To heat soup for 2 minutes and 30 seconds on 630 W micr owave power . 2. Enter desired cooking time by rotating the TIMER/WEIGHT knob clockwise. 3. Press the MICROW AVE POWER LEVEL button twice for 630 W microwave power . 1. Rotate the COOKING MODE dial to the MICROW AVE setting.
11 Grill cooking Heating without food The grill heating element at the top of the oven cavity has one power setting only . Example: To cook cheese on toast for 5 minutes (Place toast on the high rack.) 1. The high or low racks are r ecommended when grilling.
12 Convection cooking Y our oven can be used as a conventional oven using the convection facility and 1 0 pre-set oven temper atures. Example 1: To cook with pr eheating To pr e-heat to 180°C and cook for 20 minutes at 180°C. 4. Use the TIMER/WEIGHT knob to input the cooking time (20 mins).

17 NOTES: 1. Y ou can use this function for manual cooking only . 2. When the COOKING MODE dial is on microwave ( ) and you pr ess the START/QUICK button, the microwave power is always 900 W. When the COOKING MODE dial is on dual ( or ) and you press the START/QUICK button, the microwave power is always 27 0 W .
18 3. TO CHECK SETTINGS WHILE THE OVEN IS OPERA TING Y ou can check the power level and the actual oven temperatur es ie: when pre-heating. TO CHECK THE POWER LEVEL: To check the micr owave power level during cooking press the MICROWAVE POWER LEVEL button.
