Introduction 3 Introduction This guide pro vides infor mation on Accessi ng Conferences using Cisco T elePresence MCU 4500 series, MCU 4200 ser ies and MCU MSE ser ies products with softwar e release 4.0 onwards . Throughout this guide, t he ter m MCU refer s to all MCU ser ies.
Calling in to conferences 4 Calling in to c onferences When you dial into a confer ence you can conne ct dir ectly to your confer ence or into a menu that presen ts you with a series of options (called an auto attendant). From the auto attendant y ou can select the conference you wan t to join.
Calling in to conferences 5 Dialing into a conf erence using Conf erenceMe Y our system adminstrator will email y ou a HTTP link to use with ConferenceMe . The link will take the for mat http://domain.name/conferencename T o join the conference using Confer enceMe, click the link in the email.
Using an auto attendant 6 Using an auto a ttendant Y our system administrator ma y ha ve set up an auto attendant for you to use to join conferences . Auto a ttendants simplify the wa y you can join conferences .
Using an auto attendant 7 By default, the number ke ys on your endpoint are used to join a conference by dialing its numeric ID , follo w ed by a '#'. If a conference has both a Numeric ID and a Guest numeric ID set, you ma y enter either ID , and will join the conference as eithe r a ch airper son or guest as appropriate.
Using an auto attendant 8 Creating a new conf erence If you system adminstra tor allows it, you ma y be able to star t a new conference that takes place immedia tely , know n as an ad-hoc conference . T o create a ne w conference , select Crea te new confer ence from the auto attendant menu.

Using in-conference features 11 Selec ting participants using Conferenc eM e When using ConferenceMe y ou can scroll th rough participants in the same wa y as you w ould using a hard ware endpoint. Use the Left/Right ke ys on your k eyboard to scroll through par ticipants .
Using in-conference features 12 The zoom out menu Access the follo wing options by pressing zoom out if you are using FECC , or 7 on a DTMF ke yboard: border width: this controls the width of the .
