FIRST USE Cleaning the interior Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal access ories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typ ical smell of a brand- new product, then dry thoroughly. Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be posi - tioned as desired. For better use of space, the front half-shelves can lie over the rear ones.

The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at the back of the appliance, over the motor com - pressor, where it evaporates.
Cleaning the air channels 1. Remove the plinth (1), then the ventila - tion grid (2). 2. Clean the ventilation grid. 3. Carefully pull the air deflector out (3), checking that there is no water left from the defrosting. 4. Clean the lower part of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner.
Problem Possible cause Solution The lamp is defective. Refer to "Replacing th e lamp". The compressor operates continually. The temperature is not set cor - rectly. Set a higher temperature. The door is not closed correctly. Refer to "Closing the door".

3. Connect the wire coloured brown to the terminal either marked with the “L“ or col - oured red. 4. Check that no cut, or stray strands of wire is present and the cord clamp 4 is secure over the outer sheath. 5.
