Depending on which Internet Service Provider (ISP) you have, the default options provided by the Internet Zone buttons may vary .

3-6 U SING Y OUR C OMPUTER M Y P RESARIO — G ETTING S TARTED After you assign the My Program D button settings, pressing the button automatically opens your selected software, W eb site, or document. Instructions for r eassigning this button ar e found on the My Pr esario — Learning More CD.
M Y P RESARIO — G ETTING S TARTED U SING Y OUR C OMPUTER 3-7 If you ’ re going to be away from your computer but want to leave the power on, you can let your computer go to sleep. This process allows you to run programmes while your computer goes into a low- power state, which saves energy .
3-8 U SING Y OUR C OMPUTER M Y P RESARIO — G ETTING S TARTED The system lights on the keyboard provide a quick status of your computer and keyboard settings. Post Office Pr otocol (POP) is a commonly used messaging pr otocol. The most widely used implementation of this pr otocol is POP3.
M Y P RESARIO — G ETTING S TARTED U SING Y OUR C OMPUTER 3-9 Scroll Mouse Y our computer comes with a scroll mouse. The scroll mouse directs a cursor on the W indows desktop. Y ou use the mouse to move quickly and easily through a document or W eb site.

3-14 U SING Y OUR C OMPUTER M Y P RESARIO — G ETTING S TARTED Removing a Disc from a Drive 1. Press the Load/Eject 1 button to open the drive door . 2. Carefully remove the CD or the DVD from the drive. 3. Press the Load/Eject 1 button on the front of the drive to close the door .
