4 INSTALLING Y OUR REFRIGERATOR Unpacking Y o ur Refrigerato r Remove shelves from the shipping position (shelves are shipped ups ide down): 1. Grasp the front of the upper sh elf with one h and and use the other hand to remove p acking materia l from the shelf area.
5 Electrical Requir ement s Before you move y our refrig era tor i nto it s fin al locat ion, it i s important to make sure you have the proper elect rical connection : Reco mmended gr ou nding met hod A 115 V olt, 60 Hz., AC only 15 or 20 a mper e fused , gr ounded electrica l suppl y is required.

Ti ghten packing nu t. Tight en the pi pe clamp screws carefull y an d evenly so washer makes a watert ight s eal.

8 Door and hinge removal ⁵⁄₁₆ ” Hex Head Hi nge Screw 1. Unplug r efrigerator or d isconnect powe r . 2. Open refrigerator door and remove base grille from the bottom front of the refrigerator (s ee Base Grille graph ic). 3. Close the refrigerator door and keep b oth doors close d until you are ready to lift them free from the cabinet.
9 4. Use a scr ew drive r to adjust the level ing sc re ws. T urn the leve lin g sc r e w to th e rig h t to ra is e th at side of the r ef rig e ra t o r or turn the levelin g scr ew to the l eft to lowe r that side. It may take severa l turns of th e le veling scr ews t o adju st th e til t of the refrigerator .
10 Setting the Control(s) For your convenience, the refrigerator contr ols are pr eset at the factory . Con trols for the refrigerator an d freezer are located in the to p of t he refrigerator section . When you first install your refrigerator , make sure that the control(s) are still pr es et.

12 T o remove and r eplace the sh elf track: 1. Remove the shel f track by l if ting both si des of the t rack slig htly and p ulling the track s traight o ut. 2. Replace th e t rack by guidi ng the track hooks i nt o the shel f suppo rt slot s on th e back wal l.
13 T o replace crisper(s) cover: NOTE : Befor e rein stalling th e cover , make sur e the U-sha pe d r einfor c e men t b ar i s r einstalle d in th e fr ont edge of th e crisper c over . 1. Fit back of cover frame into supports on side walls of the refrigerator and lower the front of the cover frame into place .
14 T o tur n the ice maker of f: ■ Automa tic tur n off: As ice i s made, the ic e cubes wi ll fill th e ice storage bi n, and th e ice cub e s w ill rai se the wire shut- off arm to the OFF (arm up) pos ition.
15 Pull-o ut Fr eezer Floor (on some models) T o remove and r eplace the freezer floor: 1. Lift both b ack “fences” up and ou t. 2. Remove the fr eezer floor by p ulling it out ab out 1 in. (25. 40 mm) with one hand around the air t ower section (center back) and one hand a t center front.
16 T o adjust the u tility compar tment or tray: 1. Lift t he fr ont sli ghtly and slide to d esir ed positi on. 2. Lower f ron t to lock into place. Flip-up Door Shelf (on some models) The s helf bo ttom fl ips up so you can stor e ta ller ite ms in th e door shelf below .
17 Power Interruptions If the elec tri city in you r house goes off, call the power compan y and ask how long it will be of f. 1. If th e power w ill be out for 24 hours or les s , keep both r efrigerator doors closed to help food stay cold an d frozen.
18 The motor seems to run to o much ■ Is the room temperature hotter than normal? Expect the motor to r un longer under warm conditions . At normal room temperatures, expect your motor to ru n ab out 40% to 8 0% o f t he t ime. Und er wa rme r c ondit ions , ex pect it to run even more of the t ime.
19 There is interior moisture build-up ■ Are the air vents blocked in the refrigerator? Remove any objects from in front of the air vents. Refer to “Ensuring Proper Air Circulation” for th e location of ai r vents.
