Fue l: Using a good grade of unleaded, regular gasoline (f or a g asoline engine), fill the fuel tank (bes ide t he engin e on the left or right side of t he mower).

Set the engine spe ed to 2000 to 2500 r pm (ref er to tachom eter on right control panel). This must be increased to full spe ed (3525-3675 r pm ) after becoming f a mi lia r wit h the ma ch ine.
14 e. Push the throttle control to a position a third of the wa y between slo w and f ast. f . I nser t the ke y in the ignition and star t s wi tc h an d turn the s w it ch to “On”. g. Gas oline Engi ne: I f the eng ine is cold, push the choke to the on position.
15 d. Detach the mower driv e belt. e. Remov e six linchpin s (See Fig. 6) (4) from the deck and (2) from the front of the mower . Remov e the linchpins on the left and right rear side of the cutter d.
16 e. Pull the tensio ner pulley aw a y from the belt and remov e the PT O belt then remove t he blade driv e belt. f . Revers e the process to install t he belt.
17 caps a nd d rain oil from both left and r ight pumps. Replace and retighten nuts. j. Coat new filter sea l with oil before installa- tion . Ins ta ll new hydrau lic oil fil ter f illed with ne w oil. k. A dd p roper amoun t of hydr aulic oil to res- er voir .
18 c. Attach t he end of the black jumper cabl e to the Negativ e ter minal of the charged bat- ter y . d. A ttach the other en d o f the black jum per cabl e to the frame of the unit with the lo w charge batter y .
19 par king brake engaged and the b la de clutch s w itch in the “off” position, star t the engine. Now release the parking brak e, hold down on the back o f the operator’ s seat against spring pres sure, and s wi ng one of the steering lev ers up to the operat- ing posit ion.
