The compatibility of optional battery packs : ABP36VRM-2U is for OL1000RMX L2U and OL1500RMXL2U U PS unit s. ABP72VRM-2U is for OL2000RMX L2U and OL3000RMXL2U U PS unit s. Refer to the t ables in this chapter for all illustration numbering thr oughout this manual (unless s pecified ot herwise).

2 Installation 2.1 Unpack ing The fo llowing item s are in cluded in the box alo n g with the UPS. User ’ s manual Te l e s c o p i c r a i l s for mounting in 19” rack with mo unting ha rdware Qu.
2.2 I nstalling the UP S in a r ack Follow the steps below to rack moun t the UPS on the r ails. The telescopic rails and mou nting hard ware for rack mounting the UPS hav e been su ppl ied . 3 1 7 3 2 6 2 4&5 5 4 7 A. Se cure rail s to ge ther with thre e s crews (1).
2.3 Setting the UPS in the vertical position Att ach the two tower supp orts t o the UPS as shown be lo w . Pull out the Cybe rPower Lo go plate , ro tat e it as shown, and replace it in the front of UPS.
2.4 Connect ing the RS232 or the USB co mmunication port (optiona l) Conn ec t the UPS to a PC using t he RS 232 or U SB comm unica tion port as shown b elow . 1 2 OL1000RMXL2U/OL 1500RMXL2U UPS shown. 1. Connect the RS2 32 or th e USB communication cable to the corres pon ding port on t he co mpu ter .
2.5 Installing the optional communicat ion card 5 OL1000RMXL2U /OL1500RMXL2U UPS shown. It is not ne cessary to shu t down th e UPS to install the communic ation card: 1. Remov e the slot 5 cover se cured by tw o scre ws. 2. Insert the c ard in the slot.

3 Op eration 3.1 Start-up The protected eq uipmen t connected to the UPS can be powered up, whether AC input pow er is available or not. 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 The AC input power source must be present when powered by the UPS for the first time.
3.2 LED indicat or s LED s 21 to 24 prov id e thre e differe nt indications : 1. Rem aining ba cku p time as a percentage (during normal oper ation) . 2.
3.3 Oper ation on battery power (following AC inpu t pow er failure) Transfer to batt ery power 14 The AC po wer sou r ce is out o f tolerance, LED 14 is ON, the buzzer sounds thre e times. The AC po wer t o equipmen t co nnect ed to t he UPS is su pplie d by the batt ery .
End of backup time 19 The bu zzer so unds continuously . Press b utton OFF . 19 to turn th e buzzer The e qui pm ent is no long er supplie d with power . The UP S goes into slee p mode at t h e end of the bat tery backup time, until complete shut down .

The co nne cted equip men t is no longe r supplied with power . 3.6 UPS Remo te P ower Off The Paragon UPS is equipp ed with a Re mote Powe r Of f function (RPO) tha t can cut power fr om all the devices co nnec te d to th e UPS using a re mote-oper ated contact.

4 Maintenanc e 4.1 T roubleshoo ting If a ny of LEDs ○ 22 ○ 23 or 24 fl ash, ther e is an a lar m or an abn ormal oper ation. See th e tabl e below for problems and so lut ion. If an LED flashes, the bargraph data is no longer displayed. Indication LED 24 flashes and the buzzer sound s.

4.2 Re placement of the battery module Load will not be protected during this procedure! Batteries constitute a danger (electrical shock, burns). The shor t-circui t current may be very high.
