5 Using TalkMaster TalkMas ter Overview TalkMaster ™ is a soft ware program designed to work with Aiphone ’s IP-series Intercom s. TalkMaster has two m ain functions. First, T alkMaster m ust be used to co nfigure the I P address inf ormation and re lated feat ures for your IP interc oms.
Using TalkMaster 6 TalkMaster can listen f or incom ing calls in one of three "modes": Call Announ cement w ith audible and v isual ale rts In this m ode, pressing the Intercom button notif ies the T alkMaster opera tor b y an audible and/or visua l alert.

Talk / Page button The T alk/Page button turns on the PC’s micr ophone and all ows you to s peak to the i ntercom highlighted in blue in the In tercom View / Custo m View list .
Using TalkMaster 15 W hen a button is press ed, the ass ociated file is played to the Intercom (s) s pecified by the Talk Mode . W hen a Paging button is pressed, th e Stop M essage button b ecom es active till the f ile has completed. Pressing the Stop M essage butto n terminates f ile being pla yed.

17 Using Call Announcement Call A nnounc ement Call Announc ement caus es an aud ible and/or visual aler t to be issued to the T alkMaster™ operator when the Cal l or PTT button on an in tercom is pressed. Selecting m enu Admin Preferences and check ing Activate Call Announceme nt in the Options tab turns this op tion on.

19 Preferences and Setup Preferences Preferences are used to specif y various setti ngs for T alkMaster™. T his is access ed from the menu Admin Preferences .

Preferences and Setup 21 Preferences - V olume tab The Volum e tab is used t o m ake adjustm ents to individua l Intercom s. Selected Inte rcom - You can use the up and do wn arro ws to select a n Intercom from the list of intercom connected t o Talk Master™.
Preferences and Setup 22 Audio Volum e - sets the audio vol ume on the se lected Int ercom . This can be over ridden at the Intercom by using th e Volum e Up and Vol ume Down but tons. Friendly Nam e (Alias) - D ispla y s the se lected Interc om ’s Name.

Sel ect an interc om from the left colum n and click the >> button t o add it to your new group in the rig ht hand colum n.

33 Configuring Intercoms Configure Interc oms W hen Intercoms are shipped fr om Aiphone, the y do not ha ve IP addres s inform ation configured. To conf igure them , you mus t connect them to your network , install T alkMaster™ and select t he menu Admin Configu re Intercoms.
