8 Setting up your T V Setting up your T V Installing remote contr ol batteries T o in stall rem ote cont rol batter ies: 1 Remove the batter y compar tment cover . 2 Inser t two A AA batteries into the battery compar tment. Make sure that the + and – symbols on th e batteries m a tch the + and – sym bols in the battery c ompar tment.
Setting up yo ur T V 9 Connec ting an antenn a or basic c able T o connec t an antenna or basic cable (no cab le bo x): • Connect one end of a 75 ohm coaxial cable to the antenna or basic cabl e wall jack, then connect the other end of the cab le to the RF (ANT ) IN jack on the back of your T V .
10 Setting up your T V C onnecting a compon ent vi deo devi ce T o connec t a component video device: 1 Connect a component vide o cable to the COMPONENT V IDEO OUT (Y , Cb/Pb , and Cr/Pr) jacks on the component d evice , then connect th e other end of the cab le to the CO MPON EN T IN jack s on the back of y our T V .
Using your T V 11 2 Connect one end of a mini-plug audio cab le to the AU DIO L IN E OU T jack on th e computer , then connec t the other end of the cable to the VGA AUDIO IN jack on the back of your TV . 3 Press INPU T . The Input Sourc e menu opens.
12 Using your T V Memorizi ng channels Th is TV is equipped with a channel memory feature whic h lets you skip channels up or down to the next channe l in memor y , skipp ing over unwanted channels . B efore sel ecting channels in th is manner , they must be pr ogrammed int o the TV’ s memory .
Using your T V 13 In the U.S., the major channel numb er is usua lly the sam e for both analog and digita l channels (equal to the NTSC channe l number for existing broadcasters). A minor channe l numbe r of zer o ( 0) is used fo r a broadcaster’ s analo g channel.

18 Using your T V 4 Press or to highlight Change Passw ord , then press or ENTER . The Change P asswor d menu opens. 5 Enter the new password by pressing the number buttons ( 0-9 ), then enter the same pass w ord again to confirm. The screen ret ur ns to th e Lock me nu and your pass word is ch anged.
Using your T V 19 6 Press , , , or to navigate to th e rating you want to se t , then press ENTER to chang e the setting . A lock icon on the rating indicates that t he rating is bl ocked .

Make sure that you put d o wn a soft cushion or clo th so that your TV is not scratched). 2 Remove the four screws holding the sta nd column to your TV , then remove the stand column and stan d .
