INTRODUCTION The multimedia projector that combines powerful and sophisticated features with eas y-to-use, intuitive controls. Built- in multim edia fea tures include aud io, a p alette o f 16.77 m illion color s and ac tive m atrix l iquid crystal d isplay (LCD) technology.

SETTING-UP THE PROJECTOR POSITIONING; • This pro jector is basical ly design ed to projec t on a flat p rojection su rface. • This projector can be focused from 3.6’ (1.1 m ) 73.2’ (22.3m). • Refer to th e figure be low as an examp le when posi tioning the pro jector to the scre en.
VENTILATIO N Although th is projec tor has a cooling fa n to pro tect fro m ov erheating, please be carefu l to set the projector so that it can cool properly and you can av oid a risk of fire and m alfuncti on. •Do not cover the v ents wit h papers o r other m aterials.
CONNECTIN G THE PR OJECTOR CONNECTING THE COMP UTER CONNECT NC TO TH E COMPU ER. PUT 1 JACKS (BNC TYPE x 5 ) Personal computers can be connected to the comp uter input (Red, Green, Blue, Horiz. S ync. and Vert. S y nc.) on the projector. • Connect the comput er to these j acks using the BNC cables (not provi ded).
CONNECTING TO THE COMPUTER AUDIO MONITOR OUTPUT (VARIABLE) JACKS These jacks will contain the audio info rmation of the selected program source being viewed on the screen (Computer 1 or Computer 2).

CONNECTING THE VIDEO EQUIPMENT CONNECTING TO TH E VIDEO INPUT JACKS (1 and 2) BNC TYPE x 3 Connect to the video outputs of a VCR, video dis c player, DVD player, video camera, satellit e TV tuner or other AV equipment. Connect video output from AV equipment to these jacks usin g the BNC cables.

OPERATION OF CONTROLS.
1 LAMP REP LACEMENT INDICATOR Light is ora nge when projection lamp is near ing end of service life. 2 TEMPERATURE WARNING INDICATOR Rashes red when internal projector temperature is too high. 3 READY INDICATOR Light is green when projector lamp is re ad y to be turned on.

OPERATION OF REMOTE CONTROL (Wireless) This remote control unit can be us ed not onl y as a remote control for the projector operation but also as a wireless mouse for PC. The remote control unit has a pointing pad and two click buttons. The wireless mouse function is activated wh en you do not adjust the setting by using the MENU operation.

REMOTE CONT ROL B ATTERY INSTALL ATION USING THE REMOTE CON TROL UNI T Point the remote c ontrol toward the pr ojector (Receiver widow) whenever pressing the buttons. Maximum operating range for the r emote control is about 16.4’ (5 m) and 60 0 front and rear of the projector.
OPERATION OF REMOTE CONTROL (Wireless/Wired) 1 WIRED REMOTE JACK When using the wire d remote control, connect the r emote cable to this jac k. 2 MODE BUTTON Used to select source. (Computer 1, Computer 2, Video 1 or Video 2 Input) 3 LAMP POWER ON/OFF BUTTON Used to turn projection lamp on or off 4 VOLUME BUTTONS Used to adjust volume.

CONTROL THE PROJECT OR The projector has two t ypes of operation: DIRECT OPERATION and MENU OPERAT ION. DIRECT OPERATION allows you to operate the projector b y using one button without showing the MENU. In MENU OPERATION mode, y ou displa y menus wher e you can adjust the projector’s se ttings.

USING THE PROJECTOR TO TURN ON THE PROJECTOR Connect the projector to a video source (Computer, VCR, Video Camera, Video Disc Pla yer, etc.) using the appropriate terminals on the side of the proje ctor (See “CONNECT ING THE PROJ ECTOR” section on pages 9-16).
SOUND VOLUM E ADJUS TMENT Press the VOLUME buttons (located on remote c ontrol unit or on the projector) to adjust the volume. The volume display will be displayed on the screen for a few seconds. Pressing volume (÷) will increase volume a nd increase the number on the screen.
MENU OPERATION In MEN U OPERATION mode, you can adjust the proj ector. You can u se the TOP CONTROL OF THE PRO JECTC or the REMOTE CONTROL UN IT. MODE SELECT You can select a mode used in the MENU am ong com puter 1, computer 2, v ideo 1 and v ideo 2.
SOUND ADJUSTMENT You can adjust the sound volum e, treble, bass level s and Built- in SP., Sound Mute ON/OFF switch in the ME NU display. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAI N MENU DISPLAY dialog box w ill appear. 2. Pres s the POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTT ON(s) to selec t SOUND and press the SELECT ( REAR CLICK) BUTTON.
MENU EXIT To close the MENU display , press the POIN T RIGHT BUTT ON to select right end I CON and t hen press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTT ON. NOTE: Press th e MENU BU TTON duri ng the ap pearing of the MENU display on the s creen, the ME NU d isplay is d isappeared.
VIDEO SOURCE SELECT (VIDEO MODE ) 1. Connect th e video equipm ent to the PROJECTOR, and turn them on. 2. Set MODE SELECT to ‘VI DEO MODE”. 3. Press th e MENU BUTTON and the MAI N MENU D ISPLAY dialog box w i ll appear. 4. Press the POI NT LEFT/ RIGHT BUTTON(s) to select VIDEO SOURCE and press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTTON.
PICTURE IMAGE ADJUSTMENT (VI DEO MODE ) Picture ad justments have been prese t at the factory. I f you want to change th e setting, opera te the pro j ecto r as follows. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAI N MENU DISPLAY dialog box w ill appear. 2. Press t he POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON(s) to select IMAGE and press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTT ON.
PICTURE SCREEN ADJUSTMENT (VI DEO MODE ) This projector h as the Wide image function, wh ich enables you to view a wider video imag e. WIDE imag e function This p rojector is des igned to project a n orm al video im age (with 4 x 3 aspe ct ratio ).
COMPUTER SYSTEM SELECT (COMPUTER MODE ) This pro jector is des igned to accept diff erent ty pes of computer displ ay sign als based on VG A, SVGA, XGA or SXG A (See “COMPATIBLE COMPUTER SPECIFICAT IONS” on the next page).

AUTO IMAGE FUNCTION (COMPUTER MODE ) The Auto image function can auto matical ly adjust the Fine sy nc., Total dots and Scre en position for most compu ters. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAI N MENU DISPLAY dialog box w ill appear. 2. Press the POI NT LEFT/RIGHT BUTT ON(s) to select AUTO IMAGE and press the SELECT (REAR CLI CK) BUTTON.
PIC TURE IMAGE ADJUSTMENT (COMP UTER M ODE ) Picture ad justments have been prese t at the factory. I f you want to change th e setting, opera te the pro j ecto r as follows. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and th e MAIN MENU DI SPLAY dialog box wil l appear.
PICTURE POSITION ADJ USTMENT (COMPUTER MODE ) 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and th e MAIN MENU DISPLAY dialog box w ill appear. 2. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON(s) to select POSITION and press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTTON. Another dialog box POSITION SETTI NG DISPLAY will appear.
PC ADJUSTMENT This pro jector can autom atically detect the most d i spla y sig nals in most p ersona l com puters curr ently exis ting in the m arket. Howev er, some com puters output a spec ial sig nal form at which i s differ ent from the standard ones and m ay not be detected by this proje ctor.

AIR FILTER CARE AN D CL EANING The rem ovable air filter p rev ents dust from accumulating on the surf ace of the p rojec tion lens a nd pro jection m irror.
LAMP REPL ACEMENT If the lam p fails to come on and the l amp monitor on the projecto r light is orang e, you must replace t he bulb. •For continued safety, replace wi th a la mp assembly of the sa me type. •Allo w the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before you open the lamp cover, The in side of the projector can b ecome very hot.
CLEANING T HE LENS Follow these ste ps to clean the proje ction lens: 1. Appl y a non-abrasive ca mera lens cleane r to a soft, dry cleanin g cloth. Avoid using an excessive am ount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solve nts or other harsh chemicals might scrat ch the lens.
