4 Important Safety Instructions These warnings ar e provided in the inter ests of your s afety . Ensur e you fully understand them befor e installing or u sing the appliance. 5 Safety of children • P ackaging (e.g. wraps, polystyr ene) can be dangerous for childr en. There is a risk of suffocation! K eep packaging material away from children! • Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or r emove spring or bolt catches, if fitted.
6 Disposal Appliance P ackaging Information All materials are envir onmentally sound! They can be disposed of or burned at an incinerating plant without danger . About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and ar e identified as follows: >PE< for polyethylene, e.
7 Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use and efficient performance of the appliance is affected by the ambient temperatur e.
8 If your refriger ator is installed under a continuous worktop, an air outlet opening of at least 200 cm 2 and a ventilation grille (A/B) matching the worktop design should be installed at the rear of the worktop. The cut surfaces of the worktop (C) should be varnished to avoid swelling due to penetration of moistur e.
9 Unscrew the upper pin (A) and scr ew it into place on the opposite side. Fit the door into the upper pin (A) and close it. Screw the hinge pin br acket (1) securely into place on the opposite side using the screws (K). Unscrew the handle. Refit it on the opposite side after having pushed in the plugs with a punch.
Important The wires in the mains lead ar e coloured in accordance with the following code: Green and Y ellow: Earth Blue: Neutral Brown: Live As the colours of the wir es in the mains lead of this appliance may not corre- spond with the coloured markings identi- fying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: 07 GREEN & YELLOW 13 AMP.

13 T emperatur e Display The temperatur e display can indicate several pieces of information: • During normal operation, the temper ature curr ently present in the refriger ator or freezer compartment (ACTUAL temper ature) is display- ed, the corresponding light illuminates.
14 COOLMA TIC COOLMA TIC Button The COOLMATIC function is suited for quick cooling of large quantities of goods in the r efrigerator , e.g. drinks and salads for a party . The COOLMATIC function is switched on by pr essing the COOLMATIC button. The yellow light illuminates.

16 Switching off the appliance To switch off, pr ess the ON/OFF button “ ” until the mains power light extinguishes. If the appliance is not going to be u sed for an extended period: Remove all refriger ated packages. Switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button until the mains power light extinguishes.

18 Ener gy Saving Tips • Do not install the appliance near cooker s, radiator s or other sources of warmth. High ambient temperatur es cause longer , more frequent operation of the compr essor . • Ensur e sufficient air circulation and exhaust at the appliance base and at the back wall of the appliance.
19 Symptom Appliance does not work. P ossible Cau se Appliance is not switched on. Mains plug is not plugged in or is loose. Fuse has blown or is defective Socket is defective. Mains malfunctions are to be corrected by an electrician. The food is too warm.
20 Symptom Unusual noises. P ossible Cau se Appliance is not level. The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Remedy Readjust the feet. Move the appliance slightly . The compressor does not start immediately after changing the temperatur e setting.
