5 Installation Installing the Wine Cooler Y our Electr olux wine cooler has been designed for either free-standing or built-in installation. When built-in, your wine cooler does not requir e additional air space for top, sides or rear . In either case, the front grille must NOT be obstructed.
6 Installation 5 Position the unit to allow free air flow through the fr ont grille. 6 Wipe out inside of unit with a damp cloth. 7 Be sure to install the Anti-Tip bracket.
7 Installation Floor Mount Installation The anti-tip bracket is to be located on the floor in the left or right rear corner of the wine cooler . Step by step instructions for locating the position of the bracket: 1 Decide where you want to place the wine cooler .
8 Leveling Leveling the Unit Position the unit on a flat, level surface capable of supporting the entire weight of the unit when full. Leveling Legs Adjustable legs at the front and r ear corners of the appliance should be set so the unit is firmly positioned on the floor and level from side to side and fr ont to back.
9 Operation Starting your appliance: Plug the appliance power cord into a 115 volt wall outlet. Y our appliance is shipped from the factory in the "On" position and will begin start-up of cooling as soon as power is supplied.
10 Adjusting the temperature: T o set or check the set-point temperature (with the control out of sleep mode), press the "-" or "+" keypads. "SET" will be indicated on the user interface panel and the current set-point temperatur e will display and flash.
11 Alarms The control will alert you to conditions that could adversely affect the performance of the appliance. Door ajar - If the door is open, or not closed properly , for more than five minutes the System Status OK indicator will turn-off, the "Door Ajar" indicator will flash, and a tone will sound every 60 seconds.
12 Operation T o enter V acation/Sabbath Mode (with the control out of sleep mode), pr ess and hold the "On/Off" keypad until the display goes past "OFF" and r eads "V AC".
13 Storage Proper Storage Display Rack The bottom rack in your wine cooler is designed for storage as well as for display purposes. The unit holds five standard wine bottles in the display rack. Stocking Recommendations The wine racks allow for the proper horizontal storage of wine.
14 Storage T o Add or Remove a Shelf: Remove stored pr oduct from the shelf. Do not try to remove a loaded shelf fr om the appliance. Grasp the shelf front with both hands, rotate the fr ont upward and lift out.
15 Maintenance Maintaining Y our Wine cooler Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure ef ficiency , top performance, and long life. The maintenance intervals listed are based on normal conditions. Y ou may want to shorten the intervals if you have pets or other special considerations.
16 Maintenance Door alignment: The door should be parallel to the sides and top of the appliance. If alignment is necessary the door may be adjusted by removing the grille, then loosening the 2 screws which secur e the door adjustment bracket on the bottom of the door and adjusting the door side to side.
17 T roubleshooting Before Y ou Call for Service If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, read thr ough this manual first. If the problem persists, check the T r oubleshooting Guide below . Locate the problem in the guide and refer to the cause and its r emedy before calling for service.
