5 Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to initial start up • Note the ”Installation and connection instructions” • Before first starting up, check the machine f or any damage incurr ed during transport. Never connect a damaged machine. If parts ar e damaged, contact your supplier .
6 Child safety • Keep packaging away fr om ch ildren. Risk of suffocation! • Childre n can often not see the danger s associated with electrical ap- pliances. Never leave unsuperv ised children near the dryer . • Ensure tha t children and small anim als cannot climb into the dryer’ s drum.
7 2 Old appliance The symbol W on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be tr eated as hous ehold waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collec tion point for the r ecycling of elec- trical and electronic equi pment.

9 Befor e the first drying cycle In order to r emove any residue which may have been pr oduced during production, wipe the dryer drum wi th a damp cloth or undertake a brief drying cycle (20 MIN) with damp cloths. 12 Drying Switching machine on / switching light on Turn the progr amme selector to any progr amme or turn it to LIGHT . The machine has been switched on. When the door is opened, the drum is illuminated. Opening loading door / loading laundry 1. Open loading door: Push against the loading door (push point ) 2.
13 AUDIBLE SIGNAL When the drying cycle has finished, an intermittent audible signal will sound. SPECIAL CARE For especially gentle drying of sensitive fabrics with the l care label and for temperatur e-sensitive textiles (e.g. acrylic, viscose). Progr amme is executed with reduced heat.
14 Changing pr ogramme To change a progr amme which has been selected by mistake once the progr amme has started, first turn the pr ogramme selector to OFF and then reset the pr ogr amme. 3 The progr amme can no longer be changed directly once the progr amme has started.
15 Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning lint filter To ensur e that the dry er works effici ently , the lint filters (micr o-fine fil- ter and fine strainer) must be cleaned after every drying cycle. 1 Caution! Never operate the dryer without fluff filter s or with damaged or blocked fluff filters.
16 Clean the entir e filter area 3 The strainer ar ea does not have to be cleaned after every drying cycle, but should be checked regularly and cleaned of fluff if necessary . 6. To do this, grip the top of the large mesh filter and pull it forwards un- til it comes loose from the two brackets.
17 Emptying the water r eservoir Empty water reservoir after every drying cycle. If the water reservoir is full, an active pr ogramme will be interrupted automatically and the EMPTY WA TER di splay will light up. In order to continue the progr amme, the wa ter reservoir must be emptied.
18 Cleaning heat exchanger If the HEAT EXCHANGER display is illuminated, the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. 1 Caution! Operating when the heat exchanger is clogged with lint can damage the dryer . This also increases energy consumption. 1. Open loading door 2.
19 Cleaning the drum 1 Caution! Do not use abrasives or steel wool to clean the drum. 3 Lime in the water or cleaning agents may form a bar ely visible lining on the inside of the drum. The degree to which the laundry has been dried is then no longer detected r eliably .
20 Drying r esults unsatis- factory . Wr ong programme selected. Select a different progr amme the next time you dry (see “Overv iew of pro- grammes” section). Lint filter clogged. Clean lint filter . Heat exchanger clogged with lint. Clean heat exchang er .
21 Changing bulb for interior light Only use a special bulb which is designed specially for dryers. The spe- cial bulb is available from the local Service For ce Centre.
22 Pr ogr amming options Objective Implementation P ermanently pr o- gramme in the audible signal which r eminds you that the pr o- gramme is complete. 1. Turn the progr amme selector to any progr amme. 2. Pres s the AUDIBLE SIGNAL button and hold down for ap- prox.

24 Installation and connection instructions 1 Installation safety instructions • Before first starting up, all parts of the transport safety devices must be removed.
25 Electrical connection Any electrical work requir ed to inst all this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. 1 WARNING – THIS APPL IANCE MUST BE EARTHED. The manufacturer declines any liabili ty should these safety measur es not be observed.
26 P ermanen t Connection In the case of a permanent connection it is necessary that you install a double pole switch between the appliance and the electricity supply (mains), with a minimum gap of 3 m m between the switch contacts and of a type suitable for the requir ed load in compliance with the curr ent electrical regulations.
27 1. Open door . 2. Unscrew hinge A fr om the front of the machine and take off the door . 3. Carefully pry off cover plates B and C. To do this, insert a thin scr ew- driver into the slots as shown in the illustration, pr ess downwards slightly and pry out the cover plates.
