4 Safety The safety aspects of our refriger ators/freezer s comply with accepted technical standards and the German Appliance Safety Law . Nevertheless, we consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety information: Intended u se • The refriger ator is intended for use in the home.
5 Daily Oper ation • Do not operate any electrical appliances in the r efrigerator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cream maker s, mixers etc.). • Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off and unplug it, or pull the house fuse or switch off the circuit br eaker .
6 • The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be tr eated as household waste. Instead it should be handed over to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electr onic equipment.
7 1. Screw the top handle bracket to the handle r od (1). Fit the bottom handle bracket on the lower left- hand side of the door (2). 2. Fit the top handle bracket on the top left-hand side of the door (3) and screw the handle rod to the bottom handle bracket (4).
8 Electrical connection Before initial start-up, r efer to the appliance rating plate to ascertain if supply voltage and current values corr espond with those of the mains at the installation location. e.g.: AC 230 ... 240 V 50 Hz or 230 ... 240 V~ 50 Hz (i.
9 T emperatur e setting buttons The temperatur e is adjusted using the “B“ and “D“ buttons. These buttons are connected to the temper ature display .
10 is adjusted by 1 °C. From a food safety point of view +5 °C should be consider ed sufficiently cold for storing food in the fridge. 5. Once the requir ed temperature has been set, after a short period (appr ox. 5 sec.) the temperatur e display will change and again indicate the current ACTUAL temperatur e inside the fridge.
11 "Open Door"- W arning If the fridge door is left open for longer than 5 minutes the red warning display will flash and an acoustic warning tone will sound. If you need more time to load or r earrange refriger ated foods, you can switch off the warning tone by pressing the ALARM OFF button.
12 Interior Accessories Stor age shelves • Y ou should always slide one of the full size glass storage shelf into the lowest set of guides, above the fruit and the vegetable containers, and keep it in this position.
13 Adjusting the upper door r ack Depending on the food stored, the upper door r acks can be changed to other holders or r emoved. Take out the food, press the door r acks digonally upwards at their edges, r eposition them, and press them back into place.
14 Changing the carbon filter To maintain the best performance the carbon filter should be chan- ged once a year with normal usage. New carbon filters can be purchased fr om your local dealer . 1. The filter is placed behind the grill and can be reached by opening the cover .
15 Fr esh food r efrigeration To obtain the best performance: • do not store warm food or evapor ating liquid in the refrigerator • do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a str ong flavour . • P osition food so that air can circulate freely r ound it.
16 Switching off the appliance 1. To switch off, pr ess the ON/OFF button. This will result in a countdown from "3" to "1" taking place in the temper ature display . On reaching "1" the fridge will switch off. The temperatur e display will go off.
17 – cleansers which contain acetic acid. Do not allow such substances to come into contact with appliance parts. • Do not use any abrasive cleanser s. 1. Remove the food from the r efrigerator . 2. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug fr om the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit br eaker or fuse.
18 The food is too warm. Interior lighting does not work. The appliance is near a heat source. Temper ature is not pr operly adjusted. Please look in the "Initial Start Up" section. Light bulb is defective. Please look in the "Changing the Light Bulb" section.
19 Unusual noises. The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Appliance is not level. A component, e.g. a pipe, on the rear of the appliance is touching another part of the appliance or the wall. The compressor starts after a period of time.

22 Installation Electrical Connection Any electrical work requir ed to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED The manufacturer declines any liability s hould these safety measures not be observed.
23 P ositioning This appliance should only be installed at a location where the ambient temperatur e corresponds to the climate classification indicated on the rating plate, which is located at the left on the inside of the appliance.
24 Rehingeing the door The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (factory adjustment) to the left side, if the installation site requir es. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, the appliance may not be connected to the mains.
25 9 . Unscrew the top handle br acket from the handle r od (1). Unscrew the bottom handle bracket fr om the door (2). Unscrew the top handle bracket fr om the door (3) and screw onto the bottom right- hand side of the door (4). Turn the handle br acket with the handle rod 180° and scr ew them to the door (5) and the fitted handle bracket (6).
