5 1 Safety Electrical Safety • The appliance may only be connected by a register ed specialist . • In the event of any faults or dama ge to the appliance: r emove fuses or switch off.
6 T o Avoid Damaging Y our Appliance • Do not line your oven with alumin ium foil and do not place a baking tray or dish on the oven floor , ot herwise the oven enamel will be damaged by the resulting build up of heat. • Juice from fruit that drips fr om baking trays will leave marks that cannot be removed.

9 Oven accessories Combination shelf For dishes, cake ti ns, items for roasting and grilling. Universal baking tray For moist cakes, juicy roasts or as a baking sheet or collecting vessel for fat.
10 Befor e Using for the First Time Setting the Time 3 The oven will only function if the time is set. The set time function indicator will flash after the appliance has been connected to the mains or following a power failure. Use the + or - buttons to set the current time.
11 Initial Cleaning Before using the oven f or the fir st ti me you should clean it thoroughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abrasive cleaner s! The surface could be damaged. 3 To clean metal fr onts use commer cially available cleaning agents.
12 Using the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. Turn the “oven functions” swit ch to the requir ed function. 2. Turn the “temperatur e selection” switch to the r equired temper ature. The red temper atur e pilot light is illu minated while the o ven is heating up.
13 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior , e.g., for clean- ing. The heating element is not in use. ¡ Conventional For baking or roasting on one level . The conventional heating elements are in use.
14 Inserting the Shelf and Universal Baking T r ay 3 Anti-tip device All slide-in units have a small bulge on the left and right. This bulge is an anti-tip device and must always point to the rear of the oven. Tr ay or universal baking tr ay: The anti-tip device must point to- wards the r ear of the oven.
15 Clock Functions Countdown G To set a countdown. A signal so unds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven. Cook time d To set how long the oven is to be in use. End time e To set when the oven is to switch off again.
16 3 General informa tion • Once a function has been selec ted the corresponding function indi- cator will flash for approx. 5 seconds. During this time the r equir ed times can be set using the + or - bu tton. • After the r equired time has been se t the function indicator will flash again for approx.
17 Countdown G 1. Press selection button T repe ate d- ly until the countdown function indicator G flashes. 2. Using the + or - button set the re- quired countdown G . (Max. 2 hours an d 30 minutes.) After approx. 5 seconds the display will show the remaining time.
18 Cook time d 1. Press selection button T repe ate d- ly until the cook time function indicator d flashes. 2. Using butto ns + or - set the re- quired cooking time. After approx. 5 seconds the display will revert to t he time. The cook time function indicator d is illuminated.
19 End time e 1. Press selection button T repeatedly until the end time func- tion indicator e flashes. 2. Using buttons + or - set the time at which you want the oven to switch off. After approx. 5 seconds the display will revert to the time. The end time function indicator e is illuminated.
20 Cook time d and End time e combined 3 Cook time d and end time e can be used together if the oven is to switch on and off automatically at a later time . 1. Using the cook time d function sets the time requir ed for the dish to cook. In this case 1 hour .
21 Changing Time W 3 The time can only be changed if neither of the automatic functions (cook time d or end time e ) has been set. 1. Press selection button T repe ate d- ly until the time W function indica- tor flashes. 2. Using butto ns + or - set the cur- ren t t im e.
22 Uses , T ables and Tips Baking Use conventional ¡ oven function for baking. Baking tins Coated baking tins and tins made of dark metal ar e suitable for conventional ¡ heat. Shelf positions Baking with conventional ¡ is only possible on one shelf position at a time.
23 General informa tion • Always count the shelf positions from the bottom upwar ds . • Insert baking sheets with the bevelled edge to the front! • Always place cake tins in the middle of the shelf. • Y ou can also ba ke with two cake tins simultaneously with conventional ¡ .

29 Grilling To grill use the grill ¸ oven function or dual grill º with temperatur e setting È . 1 Important: Always grill with th e oven door closed. 3 Always pre-heat the empty oven for 5 minutes using the grill func- tions ! 33 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be removed for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the fr ont of the r ail away from the oven wall (1) and then un- hitch at the back (2).
34 Oven Lighting 1 War n in g: Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect from the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cov- er . Changing the oven light bulb/ cleaning the glass cover 1.
35 Oven Ceiling The upper heating element can be folded down to make it easier to clean the oven ceiling. Folding down the heating ele- ment 1 War n in g: Only fold down the heat- ing element when the oven is switched off and there is no risk of being burnt! 1.
36 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
37 Oven door glass The oven door has two glas s plates, set next to each other . The inner plate can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: the following steps must be performed only with the oven door removed! If the glass is r emoved while the door is attached, the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury .
