6 How to avoid damage to the appliance • Do not line the oven with alumin ium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on the oven floor , as the heat that builds up will dam- age the oven enamel. • Fruit juices dripping fr om the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able to r emove.

10 Befor e using for the first time Setting and changing the current time 3 The oven only operates when the time has been set. When the appliance is connected to the electrical supply or when there has been a power cut, Time flashes automatically . 1.
11 Initial cleaning Clean the oven before using it f or the first time. 1 Important: Do not use caustic or abr asi ve cleaning ag ents! These can damage the oven surfaces. 3 For the metal surfaces, use commerci ally available cleaning agents. 1. The oven function swit ch to oven lighting .
12 Oper ating the Oven The Electr onic Oven Control 3 General instructions • Always switch the appliance on fi r st by pressing the On/Off button. • When the selected function is lit, th e oven begins to heat up or the time set begins to count down.
13 Selecting the oven function 1. Switch on the appliance with the On/Off button. 2. Press the or button repeatedly until the desired oven function ap- pears. • A suggested temperatur e appears on the temperatur e display . • If the suggested temperatur e is not changed within approx.
14 3 Cooling fan The fan switches on automatically in order to keep the appliance’s sur- faces cool. When the oven is switched off, the fan continues to run to cool the appliance down, then switches itself off automatically .
15 Speedcook After an oven function is selected , with the use of the additional function Speedcook the empty oven can be pre-heated in a relative- ly short time. 1 Important : Do not put the food to be cooked into the oven, until Speedcook is comp leted and the oven is oper ating using the desired function.

17 Inserting the shelf and r oasting pan 3 Anti-tip device All insertable com ponents have a sm all curved indentation on their left and right edges. This indentation serv es as an anti-tip device and must always point towards the back of the oven. Inserting roasting pan: The anti-tip device must point to- wards the back of the oven.
18 Attaching/Removing the Grill Pan Handle The handle is particularly useful for removing the grill pan and tr ay more easily fr om the hot oven. Attaching the handle Insert the handle at an angle fr .
19 Meat pr obe For switching off the oven when the temperatur e at the centre of a roast r eaches a set temperatur e. There ar e two temperatures to be set : – The oven temperatur e: see Roasting Table – The core temper ature: See Meat probe Table 1 Important: Only the meat probe supplied may be used.
20 5. Select the desired oven function and temper ature. As soon as the core temper ature set is reached, an audi ble signal sounds and the oven switches itself off au- tomatically . 6. To switch off the signal, pr ess any button. 1 War n in g: The meat pr obe is hot.
21 Clock Functions Countdown To set a countdown. A signal so unds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the oper ation of the oven. Cook time To set how long the oven is to be in use. End time To set when the oven is to switch off again.
22 3 How to use the clock functions • After a clock function has been se lected, the corresponding function flashes for about 5 seconds. During this period, the desired times can be set or modified using the or button. • When the desir ed time has been set, the function continues to flash for approx.
23 Countdown 1. Press the S elect button repeat- edly until Countdown flashes. 2. Set the desired Countdown using the or button (max. 99.00 minutes). After about 5 seconds the display shows the time remaining. Countdown lights up. When 90% of the time set has elapsed, an audible signal sounds.
24 Cook time 1. Select the oven function and temperatur e. 2. Press the Select button r epeat- edly until Cook time flashes. 3. Set the desired cooking time using the or button (max. 09.59 hours). Cook time lights up. When the time has elapsed, “00.
25 End time 1. Select the oven function and tem- pe rat ure . 2. Press the Select button r epeat- edly until End time flashes. 3. Using the or button set the desired switch-off time. End time lights up and the cook time calculated is displayed. When the time has elapsed, “00.
26 Cook time and End time combined 3 Cook time and End time can be used at the same time, if the oven is to be automatically switched on and off at a later time . 1. Select the oven function and temperatur e. 2. Using the Cook time function, set the time that the dish needs to cook, for example: 1 hour .
27 Other functions Switching off the display 2 Y ou can save energy by switching off the clock display . Switching off the clock display 1. If requir ed, switch off the appliance using the On/Off button . 2. Press the Select button and the button at the same time un til the display goes out.
28 Cancelling the child safety device 1. If necessary , switch on the a ppliance using the On/Off button. 2. Press and hold the Select and buttons at the same time, until “SAFE” disappears fr om the display . The child safety devi ce is now ca ncelled and the appliance is again rea dy fo r use .
29 Usage, T ables and Tips Baking Oven function: Ventitherm ® Pr ecision Fan Cooking or Conven- tional Cooking Baking tins • For Conventional Cooking dark me tal and non-stick tins are suita- ble. • For V entitherm ® Precision Fan Cooking bright metal tins ar e also suitable.
30 General Instructions • Insert the tray with the bevel at the fr ont. • With Conventional Cooking or Ventitherm ® Precision Fan Cooking you can also bake with two tins next to one another on the oven shelf at the same ti me. This does not significantly in- crea se baking time.

48 Pyr olytic cleaning 1 War n in g: The oven gets very hot during this process. K eep small chil- dren away . 1 Important Before carrying out the pyr olytic cleaning process, all r e- movable parts, must be removed fr om the oven.
49 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be removed for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the fr ont of the rail away from the oven wall (1) and then un- hook at the back (2).
50 Oven Lighting 1 War n in g: Ther e is a danger of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect from the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to protect the oven light and glass cov- er .
51 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
52 Oven Door Glass The oven door is fitted with four glass panels mounted one behind the other . The inner panels can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: The following steps are to be performed only when the oven door has been removed.
53 Replacing the centr e glass panels 1. Insert the centre panels at an angle from above into the section of the door in which the handle is located, one after the other ( á ). 2. Lower the centre panels down and push them towar ds the lower edge of the door as far under the r etain- ing frame as they will go ( à ).
