5 Operating Instructions 1 Safety Electrical Safety • The appliance may only be connecte d by a qualified electrican / compe- tent person. • In the event of any faults or damage to th e appliance: remove fuses or switch off.
6 T o A void Damaging Y our Appliance • Do not line your oven wit h aluminium foil and do not place a baking tray or dish on the oven floor , otherwise the oven enamel will be damaged by the resul ting build up of heat. • Juice from fruit that drips fr om baking trays will leave marks that cannot be removed.

10 Befor e using for the first time Initial Cleaning Before using the oven for the first time you should clean it thor oughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic , abrasive cleaners! The surface could be damaged. 3 T o clean any metal fr ont panels use commer cially available cl eaning agents.
11 Operating the Oven Switching the Oven On and Of f 1. T ur n the oven functions switch to the r equired function. 2. T ur n the temperature selection switch to the requir ed temperature. The red oven power indicator is illuminated whilst the oven is in use.
12 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior e.g. for cleaning. The heating element is not in use. ¥ Fan Oven For roasting and baking on up to three levels simultaneously .
13 Attaching/Removing the Grill Pan Handle The handle is particularly useful for removing the grill pan and tray more easily fr om the hot oven. Attaching the handle Insert the handle at an angle from above into the recess in the side of the grill pan (1) lift it gently and then lower it (2) until you hear it click into place.
14 Usage, T ables and Tips Baking Use the fan ¥ oven function to bake. Baking tins • Metal, glass and ceramic tins ar e suitable for use with the fan oven function ¥ . Shelf posi tion • When using the fan oven ¥ function you ar e able to ba ke dry , flat items on up to 3 baking trays simultaneously .
15 General tips • Be sure to count the shelf positions from bottom to top. • Insert the baking tray so that the slope is at the fr ont. • Always place cake tins in the middl e of the shelf. • When using the fan oven ¥ function you are also able to bake two tins side by side on a rack simultaneously .

24 Defrosting T o defrost food, use the oven’ s defrosting function A without setting a tem- peratur e. Defr osting dis hes • Put the food on a plate and put the plate on the tray . • Use only parchment paper or film to cover the food. Do not use pla tes or dishes as they significantly incr ease the defr osting time.
25 Drying with the Fan Oven Use trays lined with gr easepr oof pape r or baking paper . Y ou will achieve a better result if you switch the oven of f half way thr ough the drying time. Open and leave to cool, pr eferably overnight. Then fi nish drying the dried food.
26 Cleaning and car e 1 Wa r ni n g: For safety r easons cleaning the appliance with a steam jet c leaner or high-pressur e water cleaner is not permissible ! Exterior of the Appliance • Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth dipped in warm soapy water .
27 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support rails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be r e- moved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails First pull the front of the rail away from the oven wall (1) and then unhook at the back (2).
28 Oven Lighting 1 Wa r ni n g: Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect fr om the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to pr otect the oven light and glass cover . Changing the oven light bulb/cleaning the glass cover 1.
29 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass-col- oured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
30 Oven Door Glass The oven door is fitted with two glass panels mounted one behind the other . The inner panel can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: the following steps must be performed only with the oven door re- moved! If the glass is removed while the door is attached, the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury .
