The oven also features a Slo wcook setting which allo ws you to c ook a range of foods over a long period of tim e at a low tem perature.

6 THE COOLING FAN FOR THE CONTROLS Your appli ance has a co oling fan f itted behin d the controls to pre vent them fr om overheat ing. The c ooling fan will com e on im m ediatel y when the grill is s witched on and after a s hort tim e when the oven is in use.
7 RA TING PLA TE This is situated on the lo wer fr ont fram e of the applianc e upon openi ng the door. Altern ativel y the rating pl ate m ay also be f ound on the bac k or top of some m odels ( where ap plic able). The appl iance m us t be protecte d b y a suitab ly rated fuse or circ uit break er.
8 PREPAR ING TO USE YOU R APPLIAN CE W ipe over the gr ill com par tm ent and o ven bas e with a soft c loth and som e hot so ap y water and was h the grill a nd ove n furnit ure bef ore us e. The grill and o ven should be heat ed without f ood to burn off any res idue f rom the gr ill and oven surf aces.

15 THE GRILL SHELF The grill shelf can be us ed in one of three pos itions. Shelf pos itions are c ounted f rom the top do wnwards. The shelf should be fitted with th e straight r ods upperm ost on the f ram e and the f orm s towards the back of the ove n.

18 USES OF THE OVEN The oven is ide al for bak ing, roas ting and c asser oles . The oven also i ncludes a Slo wcook featur e. 19 TO FIT THE OVEN SHELVE S There are 14 shelf positions in the oven. She lf positions are c ounted f rom the top do wnwards. The shelves should be fitted with t he str aigh t rods upperm ost on the f ram e and the f orm s towards the back of the ove n.
20 · For econom y leav e the d oor open f or the s hortest possible tim e, particul arl y when plac ing foo d into a pre-heate d oven . ROASTING For best results we recomm end open r oasting usin g minim al fat or oil to pr event splas hing.
21 The Gas mark settings are intend ed as a guide onl y. It m ay be nec essar y to inc rease or d ecreas e the sett ings to suit ind ividual prefer ences an d req uirem ents. Note: Shelf posit ions are cou nted f rom the top and th e ove n down wards.
22 USES OF SLOWCOOK Slowcook ing in the o ven a llows m os t foods to be cook ed at a low tem peratur e over a num ber of hour s. A variet y of f oods, partic ularl y cheap er cuts of m eat can be co oked in t his wa y mak ing them tender, tast y and succul ent.
23 For h ygiene and saf et y reason s this gas appliance mu st be kep t clean. A build up of fat or other foods tuffs could cause a fire. Before clean ing the applian ce a lw ays allow the cooling fan for the controls to cool the appliance down before switching off the electric ity supply.
24 CLEANING THE OUTER AND INNER DOOR GLASS PA NELS To p revent d amaging or w eakening the door glass panels avoid the us e of the following: · Household dete rgents and bleach es · Impregnated pads.
25 TO REPLACE THE OUTER DOOR GLA SS 1. Holding th e door glass panel with both hands , gently place the loc ators into the holes of the brack ets at the bo ttom of the oven door. 2. Holdin g the door glass with yo ur lef t han d, use your right hand t o open t he oven door.
26 TO REMOVE THE WIREW ORK RUNNERS The wirework runners in the grill and ov en can b e rem oved for cleaning. 1. Rem ove all shelves and fur nitur e from the gr ill / oven com par tments. 2. Hold the wirework at the b ottom and gent ly pull towards th e centr e of the grill or o ven compar tment.
27 REPLACING AN OVEN LIGHT BULB Isolate the applian ce from t he ele ctricit y supply befor e replacing the bulb. The type of bulb req uired is a 30 0°C, 25 watt sm all Edison Scre w. 1. Make sur e the app liance is cool bef ore you replace a bulb 2.
