5 Use of the fridge compar tment Setting the temperature The temperature within the appliance is controlled b y the thermostat control knob situated at the top of the appliance. T o operate the appliance proceed as follo ws: T u r n the ther mostat control be yond the « ■ » position.
6 Mo vable shelves The walls of the refrigerator ha ve runners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired . F or better use of space, the front half-shelves can lie ov er the rear ones. D338 P osition ing the door shelves T o per mit storage of f ood packages of v ar ious sizes , the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
7 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING External c leaning An accumulation of dust will aff ect the performance of the appliance and cause e xcessive electricity consumption. Once or twice a year dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance , with a brush or vacuum cleaner , see figure .
