ENGLISH W arnings Inst allation • All internal packing must be removed before using the appliance. Serious damage may be caused to the machine or adjacent furniture if the protective transit devices are not removed or are not completely removed. ENGLISH Inst allation 5 Unp acking All transit bolts and packing must be removed before using the appliance. You are advised to keep all transit devices so that they can be refitted if the machine ever has to be transported again.
6 W ater inlet Connect the water inlet hose supplied with the machine to a tap with a 3/4" thread. Do not use already employed hoses. The other end of the inlet hose which connects to the machine can be turned in any direction. Simply loosen the fitting, rotate the hose and retighten the fitting, making sure there are no water leaks.

6 Soak button To be used for heavily soiled laundry. The machine performs a soak of about 30 minutes at 30°C. By pressing the DELAY START button the soak time can be prolonged up to 10 hours max. After this time the wash cycle will start automatically.
ENGLISH When the programme has finished, the (end) pilot light comes on and the (Door) pilot light goes off. The (Door) pilot light indicates if during the washing cycle the door can be opened: • Light on : the door can be opened (when the washing machine is set to PAUSE, the (Door) pilot light will go off).
If an option which is not compatible with the set wash programme is selected, the message Err is displayed for 2 seconds. In the event of operating problems, some alarm codes can be displayed, for example E20 (see paragraph “Something not working”).

ENGLISH 17 4. Switch the machine on To switch the machine on, press the ON/OFF button : the mains-on light comes on. The display will show three flashing dashes or a blinking zero. 5. Maintenance 22 1. Bodywork Clean the outside of the machine with warm water and a neutral, non-abrasive household detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Important: do not use methylated spirits, solvents or similar products to clean the bodywork.
ENGLISH 7. Frost precautions If the machine is installed in a place where the temperature could drop below 0°C, proceed as follows: • Close the water tap and unscrew the water inlet hose from the tap. • Place the end of the drain hose and that of the inlet hose in a bowl placed on the floor.
Something not working? 24 Problem Possible cause • The machine does not st art up: • The door is not firmly closed. ( E40) • The machine is not plugged in or there is no power at the socket. • The main fuse has blown. • The programme selector dial is not positioned correctly.
