12 THE GRILL PAN AND HANDLE The gr ill pan is sup plied with a r em ovable hand le. To attach the hand le, plac e the wirework under the cut out in the pan s o that the metal p late ho ok s over the top of the gri ll pa n. Slide the handl e to the left a nd over the centr al bum p on the gri ll pan.

14 USES OF THE T OP OVEN The top o ven is th e sm aller of the t wo ovens . It is heated b y elements in the top an d bottom of the oven. It is des igned f or c ooking sm aller quan tities of food. It g ives esp ecia lly good results if used to c ook fruit c akes , sweet or sa vour y flans or quic he.

16 USES OF THE MA IN FAN OVEN PREHE A TI NG The f an oven qu ick ly reaches its tem peratur e so it is not usually necess ary to preheat the ove n. W ithout preheati ng however you may need to add an extra 5 – 10 minutes on the rec om m ended cook ing tim es.

21 Before clean ing alw ays allow th e coolin g fan to cool the appliance down before switching off at the electri city supply. 22 CLEAN ING THE TOP OVEN ROOF The grill elem ent is hi nged to m ake cleaning t he ov en roof eas ier. Switch off the appliance fr om the electric ity supply before c leaning and ensure the oven is cold. 1. Remove the wire work side runners . 2. Undo the two scr ews which hold the gri ll elem ent in place.
23 TO REMOVE THE OUTER DOOR GLA SS 1. Open the door slight ly to gain acces s to the two cross head screws on the to p of th e door. 2. Loosen the t wo scre ws using a P ozidr ive screwdri ver. 3. Holding th e door g lass s ecurel y in place with one hand rem ove the screws a nd was hers with the other han d.
24 TO CLEAN THE INNER GLASS DOOR Clean the i nner glass door pane ls usi ng hot s oapy water or Hob Brite an d a sof t cloth. Do not us e abrasive clean ing m ater ials on th e door glass. Ensure that al l parts are well rins ed a nd thorou ghl y dried bef ore at tempting t o rep lace the glass .
25 COOKING TO REDUCE SOILAGE · Cook at the recomm ended t em peratures. Hi gher temper atures dur ing roas ting will inc reas e soilage. T ry cooking at lower tem per atures for an increased le ngth of tim e, you will sa ve en ergy and of ten the join t is m ore tend er.
