5 Safety during use • Overheated fats and oils can ignite very quickly . When cooking with fat or oil (e.g. chips) do not leave the ap pliance unattended. • Risk of burns! F at or oil added to a pan which has alr eady been heat- ed ignites very quickly and can spit.

9 Oper ating the appliance 3 Only use a wok pan that is suited to this appliance. Switching the appliance on and off 3 After switching on, within appr ox. 1 0 seconds a heat setting or a func- tion must be set, otherwise the appl iance automatically switches itself off.

12 Changing the time Safety cut-out Cooking surface • If after switching on the cooking su rface, a heat setting is not set within approx. 1 0 seconds, the c ooking surface automatically switch- es itself off. • If the cooking zone is switched of f, the cooking surface automatically switches itself off after approx.
13 Tips for cooking with the wok The induction wok is eminently suit able for pr eparing “á la minute” dishes, in particular Chinese specialities. The food is continuously turned during the short frying ti me. The induction heating system means that in the wok you can cook extremely quickly and at high heat.

15 Methods of pr eparation in the wok Stir frying • Wok is swirled with oil. • Ingredients cut into small pieces, in cluding sauces and seasonings, are quickly fried over a high heat while continuously being stirred. • Due to the extr emely short cooking time the ingr edients should be ready befor e you start cooking.

20 • This appliance’s mains cable must be a special cable (type H05BB-F Tmax 90°; or higher). The latter is available from the Customer Care Department. A device must be pr ovided in the el ectrical insta llation which allows the appliance to be disconnected from the mains at all poles with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm.
