Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol panel Pr ogram Selector The progr am selector determines the type of wash cycle (eg. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) accor ding to the type of articles to be washed.
Operating Instructions 11 RINSE Separate rinse followed by spin or rinse hold, eg. for rinsing hand- washed cottons/linen. 3 Rinse hold means: The washing remains in the last rinsing water and is not spun.
Operating Instructions 12 GENTLE RINSE Separate gentle rinse followed by short spin or rinse hold, eg. for rins- ing hand-washed woollens or delicates. CONDITION Separate gentle conditioning for damp woollens or delicates (1 gentle rinse, liquid conditioner is washe d in fr om the compartment æ fol- lowed by short spin or rinse hold).
Operating Instructions 13 STAIN For dealing with heavily soiled or stained washing (in-wash stain treatment is added at the optimum time during the course of the progr am). STAIN can be used in conjunction with the progr am selector settings: – PRE WASH (CO TTONS/LINEN); – P R E W A SH (EAS Y -CARES); – MAIN WASH; – EASY -CARES.

Operating Instructions 22 W ash Progr am Pr ogress Progr am progress display The progr am selector is also a progr am progr ess display . It turns clockwise as the progr am progr esses until it ends, showing the stage of the pr ogram tha t is currently being carried out.

If SOAKING has been selected: 0 Release the SOAKING button (main wash for CO TTON S/LINEN or EASY - CARES will run). Operating Instructions 28 Cleaning the dr ain pump P aper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing machine with the washing and r emain in the drain pump casing. Fluff and strands of fabric can gather on these items and block the dr ain pump.

If you call out an engineer to r esolve a fault listed here, or to r epair a fault caused by incorr ect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.

Operating Instructions 32 If the washing r esults are not satisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits are pr esent in the drum • Insufficient detergent has been added. • Incorrect deter gent was used. • Stains were not pre-tr eated.
Operating Instructions 33 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temperatur es might occur , e mer gency emptying must be carried out.
