7 3 Gener al Information • To pr event creasing do not exceed the maximum load stated in the progr amme table. • W hen using fabric conditioning sheets, we recomm end the conditioning sheet is pinned (using a safety pin) to an article of laundry and placed in the tumble dryer .
8 2 Envir onmental pr otection tips • Y our laundry will become light and soft in the laundry dryer even without a s oft rinsing agent. • Loosen your laundry before loading it into the dryer . This helps to pr event lengthy running times and creasing.

13 The pr ogr amme selector positions • OFF: The tumble dryer is switched off. •L I G H T : The drum light switches on when the door is opened. • Progr amme group CO TT ONS: Pr ogrammes for drying cotton and linen fabrics; maximum lo ad 6 kg.
14 Brief oper ating instructions • E nsur e the laundry is well spun before tumble drying. • Prepar e the laundry . • O pen the door and load the laundry . • S hut the door . Attention! Do not catch washing in the door . • S elect the drying progr amme on the progr amme selecto r .
15 Drying Pr epar e the laundry • To pr event tangled b undles of laundry: Close zip fastener s; button-up bed linen and pillow cases; tie-together loose tapes, e.g. aprons. • Empty all pockets. • Re move all metal objects (i.e. paper clips, pins, etc.
Drying 16 0 If r equired, select the buttons AUDIBLE SIGNAL, SPEC IAL CARE or QUICK. • AUDIBLE SIGNAL button During the cr ease-pr otection phas e (immediately aft er the drying phase), an acoustic signal is sounde d at intervals (see "End of drying pr ocess").
Drying 17 Start DELA Y TIMER With the DELA Y TIMER function you can delay the start of the drying pr ogramme by 1 to 19 hour s. 0 Setting the progr amme. 0 Hold the DELA Y TIMER button pressed until the desired number of hour s of delay of the progr amme start appears in the display field for PROGR.
Drying 18 Start the drying pr ogr amme 0 Pr ess the START button. The drying progr amme starts. The progr amme pr ogress is indicated on progr amme phase dis- play . Removing laundry or load ing laundry when necessary Y ou can interrupt the drying process at any time to r e move some of the laundry or to add mor e laundry .
Drying 19 Empty the water r eservoir 1 Caution! The condensed water is not suitable for drinking or for use with foodstuffs. The water r eservoir should be empt ied completely after every drying pr ogramme. This avoids interrupti on of a pr ogramme when the water r eservoir is full.
Drying 20 Clean the fluff filter T o ensure efficient oper ation of the tumble dryer , clean the fluff filter after each drying pr ogramme. Also check whether there ar e any re mnants or fluff fr om the washing in the drum; r emove immediately . 0 Pr ess the catch of the filter lid down- wards.
Drying 21 Cleaning the heat exchanger 1 Important! When the HEA T EXCHANGER display illuminates, it is essen- tial to clean the heat exchanger . Otherwise your dryer might suffer damage. In addition energy consumption will be incr e ased if the heat exchanger unit is covered with fluff.

24 A small glossary of textile information Car e symbols Ensure articles to be dried ar e suit able for tumble drying. If they ar e one of the following symbols should be present on the car e label: R Normal drying S Drying with spec ial car e (pr ess the SPECI AL CARE button!) Q This fabric can be tumble dried.
25 Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning the filter ar ea 1 Important! When the FILTER display illuminates, it is essential to clean the fluff filter . Otherwise your dryer might suffer damage. A small amount of fluff may reach the ar ea around the filter in spite of the fluff filter .
Cleaning and m aintenance 26 Cleaning the panel and oper ating parts 1 Wa r n i n g ! Do not use household furniture polish or aggr essive deter- gents. 0 Wipe over the panel and oper ating parts with a damp cloth. Only use warm water . Cleaning the door seal 0 Rub the door seal with a damp cloth immediately after the drying pr o- cedure.
27 Pr ogramming possibilities The electr onic control system of your laundry dryer provides you with the possibility to adapt some functions of the dryer permanently to your r equirements.
Programming possibilities 28 Adjusting the dry ing res ul t : If at the en d of the pr o- gr amme you always want the washing to be somewhat drier or somewhat damper than with the standar d set- ting .
29 What to do if ... If the tumble dryer is not working co rrectly please carry out the follow- ing checks befor e calling out an engineer . Symptom P ossible cau se Solution The tumble dryer will not.
What to do if ... 30 The drying result is unsatis- factory; the washing is still damp. The conductivity of the water in your lo cality dif- fer s from the standar d setting of the appliance. Reprogramme the stand- ar d setting, eg. H0 instea d of H1 , for dryer washing (see ch apter “Program- ming P ossibilities“ .
What to do if ... 31 If after these checks , the tumble dryer still does n ot work, contact you r local AEG Service For ce Centre. Please note that it will be necessary to pr ovide proof of pur chase for any in-guar antee service calls.
