12 THE GRILL PAN AND HANDLE The grill pan is s upplie d with a r emovabl e handle. To attach the hand le, place the wirewor k under the cut out in the pan s o that the m etal plat e hook s over the top of the grill pan. Slide the handle to the left and over the centr al bum p on the gril l pan.

14 USES OF THE TOP OV EN The top o ven is the s maller of the t wo ovens. It is heated by elem ents in the top and bo ttom of the oven. It is desig ned for cook ing sm aller quantit ies of food. It gi ves esp eciall y good results if used to cook fruit c akes, s weet or savo ury flans or quic he.
15 HINTS AND TIP S · All cooking s hould b e carried out on shelf positions one and two using a crank ed she lf. · W hen m ore s pace is req uired, f or exam ple whe n roasting or casser oling, a str aight s helf f rom the main ove n m ay be placed on the top o ven base.
16 USES OF THE MA IN FAN OVEN PREHE A T ING The f an oven quic kl y reaches its tem peratur e so it is not usually necess ary to preheat the oven. W ithout preheating ho wever you m ay need to add an extr a 5 – 10 minutes on the recom m ended cook ing times .

22 CLEAN ING THE TOP OVEN ROOF The grill elem ent is hinge d to m ake cleaning t he oven roof eas ier. Switch off the appliance fr om the electric ity supply before cleaning and ensure the oven is co ld. 1. Remove the wire work s ide runners. 2. Undo the two screws which hold the grill elem ent in place.

24 TO CLEAN THE INNER GLASS DOOR Clean the i nner gl ass door p anels usi ng hot s oapy water or Hob Brite an d a soft clo th. Do not us e abrasive clean ing m aterials o n the door glass. Ensure that all par ts are well rinse d and thor oughl y dried bef ore attem pting to r eplace the glass .
25 COOKING TO REDUCE SOILAGE · Cook at the recomm ended tem peratures . Higher temper atures durin g roast ing will inc reas e soilage. T ry cooking at lower tem peratures for an increased le ngth of time, you will sa ve ener gy and often th e joint is mor e tender.
