16 Before turning power on to the system, the jumpers on the back of the thermostat must be configured to operate correctly with the system equipment. This thermostat is configured from the factory to operate a standard fossil fuel (gas, oil, etc.), forced hot air system with a single stage air conditioning compressor and fan.

20 This option allows the c ycle times in heating and cooling to be increased or decreased. The factory set v alues can be adjusted higher for longer cycles or lo wer for shorter cycles. The adjustment range for HEA TING is from 2 to 40. The factory preset is 5.
21 compressor and the fan to come on at slightly different times, which allo ws full power to the compressor on start up. The fan of f delay allows the f an to continue running after the compressor has shut off. This distributes the cooling that would otherwise stay trapped in the air conditioning coils through the ducts.
22 The remote sense feature will not work if the system does not pr ovide 24V to the thermostat (example: heating-only system or 3-wire zone valves). T o use a remote sensor, jumper W922 must be clipped (see figure 10) and the REMT SEN option in the configu- ration menu (on page 19) must be set to ON.
