Modes of Operati on 7 2.0 M ODES OF O PERATION The Nfinity Maintenance Bypa ss Cabinet is designed to operate in two modes: UPS Mode and Bypass Mode. 2.1 UPS Mode While the N finity Maintena nce Bypass Ca binet is in UPS Mode, the U PS is supplyin g the connected load with continuous, high quality AC power.

Preparation 9 4.0 P REP ARATION These installatio n instructions p rovide all the i nformation needed for posi tioning the N finity Mainte- nance Bypass Cabinet (including environmenta l requirements) and for connecting the input and out- put power cables.
Unloading 10 5.0 U NLOADING The unit frame is bolted to the shipping pallet to ensure safety. Liebert recommends using a pallet jack to transport the unit to its operat ing locati on prior to unbolting the unit. 5.1 Unloading the Maintenance Byp ass Cabinet 1.
Unloading 11 5.2 St ationary Mounting Additional sta bility can be added by bolti ng the mounting brackets (used in shippin g) to the floor. For greater stability, use a higher-g rade bolt. R efer to the dimensio ns below w hen drilling h oles for stationary mounting.

Cable Installation 14 6.4 Removing the Cover Plates On the back of the Mainte nance Bypass Cabinet, cover plates are over the input an d output terminals (see illus- tration at right). Remove th ese using a phil lips screw- driver. Keep screws and plates to one side.
Cable Installation 15 6.7 Input and Output Wiring To connect th e input wiring: 1. Locate the input wiring access (see illustration a t right). 2. Remove the knockout and pull the three/four input wires through it, allowing some slack for installation.

Operation 22 7.0 O PERATION 7.1 St art-Up and Initialization To start up the Nfinity UPS while it is connected to the Nfinity Ma intenance Bypass: 1. Set the Maintenance Bypass sw itch (SW1) to th e UPS positi on on the Maintenance Bypass Cabinet. 2. Close the UPS source switch (SW2).
Maintenance 23 8.0 M AINTENANCE 8.1 Proper Care Keeping your Liebert Nfinity Maintenance Bypass Cabi net operating properly is imperative to opti- mal performance and life of the unit . It is recommended that a certif ied technician perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
