6 COOKTO P USE Cook top Co ntrols Electr ic ignitors automatica ll y light t he surface burner s when contr ol knobs ar e tur ned to LIGHT . Befor e setting a control kno b , place filled cookwar e on the grate. Do not ope rate a burner using empty coo kwar e or while the grate is unoccu pied.

9 Contr ol Lock The Con trol Lock shuts down the control p anel pads to pr event uninten ded use of the oven . When the control is locked, only the CLOCK and TIMER pads will functio n. T o Lock/ Unlock Contr ol: Befor e locking, ma ke sure th e oven and Tim er are of f.

11 OVE N U S E Baking and Roasting IM PORT ANT : Never l ight t he oven burner du ring a po wer failur e. Never pla ce food or co okwar e direct ly on the oven door or the oven b ottom. When usi ng the oven for the f irst time, it is necessar y to turn any one o f the surf ace bur ners on first to r elease air fr om the gas lines.

15 Ov en Light The oven light is a standar d 40-watt appliance bulb. It will come on when the o ven door is o p en. It will no t work during the S elf- Cleaning c ycle. On some mod els, when the oven door is closed, pr ess OVEN LIGHT to tu r n it on o r off.
