- 10 - 3.3 Installing t he Fuel T ank and the Fuel Line ( Units w ith Kaw asaki Engines Only) 1. Start t he t wo self-tapping scr ews into the bottom of the fuel t ank and then rem ove the screws (Fig. 3) . 2. - 13 - For units w it h a Blade Br ake Cont rol: The t hrottle-chok e control also includes an engine k ill posit ion. Moving the lever into the f ull rearward ( Off ) position will kill the engine.

Connect the wire to the spark plug (For Honda Units: See Fig ure 12, For Kawasaki Units: See Fig ur e 14) .

- 22 - 5.1 Checking t he Engine Oil Level Service Interval: Before each use. Make sure that t he oil level is between the Add and the Full m a r k s as shown on the dipstick ( Fig . 7 & 8). I f the oil level is below the Add mar k , add oil. Ref er to Filling t he Crankcase with Oil ( Sect ion 3.

- 24 - 4. Remove the cover and clean it thoroug hly (Fig 21). 5. Remove the paper air f ilter and discard it as r e q uired (Fig. 22) NOTE: Do not t r y to clean a paper air filter . 6. Remove the foam pre-cleaner and wash it with a mild deterg ent and water, then blot it dry (Fig 21).
- 25 - 4. Remove the cover. NOTE: Be car ef ul to prevent dir t and debris fr om f alling int o t he base. 5. Remove the foam and paper elements f r om t he base (Fig. 23) . 6. Remove the f oam elem ent f rom t he paper elem ent (Fig. 23) . 7. Inspect the f oam and paper element s, and replace them if they are damag ed or excessively dirty.

- 27 - 7. For Sharpening : File the top side of the blade to maint ain it s original cutt ing angle (Fig. 27A) and inner cutting edg e radius (Fig. 27B). The blade will remain balanced if you remove the sam e am ount of mater ial f rom both cut t ing edges.
