The trolley, front idler/ tensio n ad just ment a ssemb ly, chai n, drive gear and lim it ca ms are ass embled to the Rail/Chain Assembly at the factory. Follow the steps outlined belo w to complete assembl y prior to installation.

T he main concern is mounting t he Power Unit securely to the ceiling jo ists for operational st rength, rigidi ty and safety .

17 E: OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS Adjustment #1: Opening Travel Your opener is assembled at the factor y with the trolley in the forward position with the open limit stops snapped in place on th e chain, set for a standard d oor. If you door is non- standard, move BOTH open lim it stops, located just behin d the troll ey.
18 Adjustment #3: Setting Door Close Limit Confirm trolley close positio n 9” to 10” between the inside face of the door and the point where the door arm conn ects to the trolley (see illustration).
19 Adjustment #5: Alignment and Initial Test of Safe Finish Photosystem A. Keep a portable transm itter with you to cont rol the garage door opener. The red lig ht on th e receiver un it should now be on.
20 SAFE FINISH PHO TOSYSTEM WIR ING - SERIES A C9000 MAINTENANCE O F YOUR OPENER Once a Month: 1. Test for r eversal on a 1-1/2 inch h i gh ob ject or a 2 x 4 board laid flat on th e floor (see “Im portant Test: O pener Obstruct ion Sens ing Featu re”, page 18 ).

TH E FRONT AND RE AR MOUNTS FOR THE OPENER ARE SO UND AND SECURE A ND THE RAIL IS POSITIONED CORRECTL Y ABOVE THE HIGH ARC OF THE DOOR, AND THAT THE OP ENER IS P OSITIONED OVER THE DOOR ACTIO N CENTERLINE.
