1 Safety and warnings W ARNING! Elec trical Shock Hazard Alwa ys disconnect the appliance fr om the mains power supply befor e carr ying out an y maintenance or r epairs. Connection to a good earth wiring system is essential and mandatory . Alter ations to the domestic wiring sy stem must only be made by a qualified electrician.
2 Safety and warnings If the power supply cable is damaged , it must be replaced b y the manufacturer , its ser vic e agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard . T o comply with electrical safety regulations, this canopy must be connected to a socket near the appliance .

9 Operating y our wall canopy T ouch control panel This panel is located on the fr ont part of the hood and includes the following functions: Filt er cleaning alert indicator (ref. A ). Activated regularly as a r eminder of the need to clean filters and deactivated with a single press.
10 Cleaning and maintenanc e Impor tant! Never use abrasiv e or oil based cleaners Maintenance Before performing any cleaning or maintenance on y our wall canopy , ensure that the power supply is switched OFF to the hood. The wall canopy should be cleaned r egularly using a mild, liquid detergent to a void a build up of grease occurring .
11 Cleaning and maintenanc e Carbon filters Active carbon filters are disposable items desig ned to remov e grease and odours from c ooking vapours before the air is channelled back in to the kitchen.
12 W arranty and service Before y ou call for service or assistance ... Check the things you can do yourself . Refer to the installation instructions and your user guide and check that: 1 your product is correctly installed 2 you are familiar with its normal operation.
