To re duce the risk of electrocution, injur y or fir e: ■ Read all instructions carefully befor e using this dr yer . ■ If y ou are replacing an old dr yer , make sure that children cannot get trapped inside it by (for example) removing the lid .
6 I mpor tant Safety I nstruc tions Note: Pr essing the POWER button does NO T disconnect the dr yer from the power supply , even though the lights are out. ■ When disconnecting a dr yer that is plugged in, to avoid damage t o the cord or junction of the cord plug , pull by the plug rather than the cord or junction of the cord plug.
7 I mpor tant Safety I nstruc tions ■ If it is unavoidable that fabrics that contain vegetable oil , cook ing oil or have been contaminated by hair care pr oducts be placed in a tumble dr yer , wash them first in hot water with extra detergent – this will r educe, but not eliminate the fire hazar d.
8 I nstallation I nstructions Read the Impor tant Safety Instruc tions on pages 5 – 7 befor e you star t installing the dr yer . L ocation Requir ements ■ The dr yer must not be stor ed or installed in an area that is exposed to water or the weather .

10 Exhausting Designing and Installing a New Exhaust Duc t S ystem ■ The dr yer must be exhausted outside . This will reduce dr ying time, prev ent the build up of lint and moisture in the r oom in which it is located and reduce the risk of fir e.
11 Exhausting Determine V ent Duc t L ength and Route This dr yer can only be vent ed from the r ear . Choose a route that will pr ovide the straightest and most direct path outside. Plan the installation to use the f ewest number of elbows and turns.

13 Elec trical Supply Requirements The dr yer r equires a 230 – 240 V single phase 50 Hz sinusoidal AC supply . It must be connected to an individual branch circuit rated f or at least 30 amps and protected by its own fuse or circuit br eaker .

16 Getting Star ted Quick ly A. Sor ting ■ Sor t clothes of similar types and loads that take similar times to dr y . (Refer t o Sor ting page 27). B. L oading ■ L oad clothes no higher than the transparent section of the lint bucket. (Refer to L oading page 27).
17 Getting Star ted Quick ly F. H o w Dr y? ■ Choose how dr y you want to dry your clothes, There ar e 5 dr yness settings you can choose between, EXTRA DRY , EXTRA DRY/DR Y , DRY , DA MP/DRY , or DAM P . (Refer to page 20 f or descriptions). Pr ess the HOW DRY button until the setting you want is lit.
18 F abric T ype The Intuitive ™ dryer is capable of dr ying many differ ent fabr ic types. On the display scr een the F ABRIC T YPE button is locat ed nex t to the POWER button. Use the UP and DOWN ar r ows to alter the fabric type you wish to dr y with.
19 F abric T ype LIGHT The LIGHT setting is ideal f or delicate or heat sensitive items. Use this setting when car e -labels r ecommend low heat settings or for garments with a synthetic fibre cont ent, where overheating could cause damage to fibres .
20 How Dr y? AU TO SENSING Aut osensing is automatically selected when your Intuitive ™ dr yer is turned on. When selected, your dr yer automatically senses the dryness level of the load and turns off when the clothes are dr y .
21 Display Scr een The display screen on the right hand side of the panel shows you what the machine is doing during the cycle. The display screen also shows y ou the different dr ying options a vailable. When you first turn your Intuitive ™ dryer on it will briefly display the message “ W elcome to I ntuitive ” .
22 Pr ogress Scr een During the c ycle the display scr een shows you the progr ess of your load by displaying a series of messages that indicate what stage the dr yer is up t o . The display screen also scr olls through any options you may hav e chosen.
23 The Options F or all the options mentioned below selec t the OPTIONS menu (by pressing the UP Options arro w). Use the Options arrows to scr oll through the options until the one you want is displayed . Pr ess ADJUST to select it and HOME to r eturn to the main screen.
24 The Options 3. END OF CY CLE BEEPS Y ou can change the number of beeps your Intuitive ™ dryer sounds at the end of the c ycle . Scroll to Options screen 3, use the ADJUST button t o move to y our desired pr eference. P ress HOME to save y our selection.
25 Lif ec ycles® Y our Intuitive ™ dr yer has a range of special, pr e -prog rammed Lifec ycles ® to make doing the laundr y even easier . ■ P ush the LIFECY CLES button. ■ Use the OPTIONS button to scr oll through the 3 Lifecycles ® menus, or you can pr ess the LIFECYCLES button repeat edly.
26 Lif ec ycles® L3 Bulky I tems BLANKETS Y ou will need to check the car e label to make sure that the item can be dried in the dr yer . It is a good idea to include 4 – 5 medium sized t owels along with the blanket for cushioning. This will reduce shrink age from over tumbling .
27 Using Y our Dr yer Check the care labels inside the garments to determine whether the garment manufacturer r ecommends tumble -dr ying. Sor ting It is best that you sort your garments before placing them into the dr yer . Sor t into loads of similar types, and loads that take similar times to dr y .
28 Using Y our Dr yer Lint Bucket The Intuitive™ dryer ’ s lint removal system is unique. Unlike other dr yers , the Intuitive™ dr yer automatically removes the lint for y ou, fr om the lint screen – all y ou have to do is tip the lint out! The lint filter is hidden behind the lint bucket.
29 Lid L ock Y our Intuitive ™ dr yer locks it ’ s lid at the star t of the dr ying cycle, providing added saf et y f or you and your family while it is operating. This lock ensures the lid cannot be opened while the drum is rotating . A lidlock symbol (padlock) appears in the corner of the screen when locked (it disappears when unlocked).
30 Cleaning Clean your dr yer with a soft damp cloth and wipe dr y . Do not use scouring cleaners as they can damage the paint and plastic sur faces. Removing the Lid Y ou can remov e the lid for cleaning . Open the lid fully , hold one side with one hand and tap the other side with an upwards motion.
31 If Y our I ntuitiv e™ Dr yer Beeps F or Help Y our Intuitive ™ dr yer is capable of diagnosing its own troubles . I f your dryer is displaying a message on the display screen and is sounding a musical series of beeps every 5 seconds, it has a problem that you ma y be able to solve using the check list below .
32 Tr ouble Shooting Pr essing POWER does not turn the dr y er on Is the electrical cord plugged in? I f not plug the cor d in. If there is a swit ch, is it switched on? C ould your household power supply be at fault? (If your plug is suitable, try plugging another electrical appliance into the same outlet).
33 Tr ouble Shooting Linting Pr oblems Is the lint bucket full? When lint reaches the top of the transparent section of the bucket it needs emptying. Have you separat ed lint-shedding garments (e.g. tow els) from lint receiving garments (e.g . synthetics).
