4 Con venience and Safety Features Activ ating Headlight control: Headlight control is used to remotely turn on your headlights, providing an illuminated approach to your vehicle . T o activate headlight control, press* the button on y our P owerCode remote control transmitter .
5 Remote Control P anic Mode The remote control panic function helps draw attention to y our vehicle and y ourself in a threatening situation. Press and hold*** the button on your P owerCode remote control transmitter to activate the panic function.
6 When the Secur ity System is Ar med: • All interior entr y points are monitored for unauthorized entry; • The Inter ior Theft Sensor monitors f or impact to the vehicles body or glass; • The system status indicator flashes once every f our seconds.
7 Attempted Theft Aler t: If the horn chir ps four times when y ou disar m your security system, this indicates that the alarm was tripped while you were aw ay from y our v ehicle. Y ou will also notice that the dash mounted status LED is also flashing rapidly at that time.
8 System Maintenance Changing the Remote Control Batter y: The 12-volt alkaline battery supplied in your remote control should last approximately one y ear , depending on usage. When the batter y begins to weaken, you will notice a decrease in r ange, or the distance from your v ehicle that your remote transmitter will operate.
