3 Getting Started Follow these steps the first time you use this product. 1. Press ON/OFF . A brief demonstration appears. T o stop the demonstration, press CLEAR. 2. Press or repeatedly to adjust the screen contrast. NOTE: Y ou can adjust the screen contrast only at Ready .
4 Finding W ords Crosswords helps you find answers to crossword puzzles by finding missing letters. T ype a ? in place of each unknown letter and let Crosswords find every possible match in its word list. 1. T ype a word with ?’ s (e.g., ?ALL??Y ). T o erase a letter , press BACK or .
5 Finding Words ✓ Viewing Help Information Y ou can view help information at most screens by pressing HELP . T o scroll the help automatically , press ENTER. T o exit help, press BACK. ✓ Follow the Arrows The flashing arrows show which arrow keys you can press to view more.
6 Finding More Words If the word you are looking for is not on the Matchmaker list, press MORE to find more possibilities. Crosswords substitutes a letter for one that you’ve typed. T ry this example. 1. Enter a word (e.g., DOT ). Correct word appears.
