5 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS About the Ceramic Glass Cooktop The cer amic cooktop has r adiant surface elements located below the surface of the glass. The design of the cer amic co ok to p ou tl in es the ar ea of th e sur f ac e el em en t un de rn ea th.
6 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS Surface cooking settings Use the chart to determine the correct setting for the type of food y ou are preparing. Note: The size and type of cookw are used will inuence the setting needed for best cooking results.
7 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS NOTE See R ecommended Setting for Surface Element table on page 6. Operat ing the Singl e Surface Radiant Elements The cooktop has 2 or 3 SINGLE radiant surf ace elements: the RIGHT FRONT position and the LEFT REAR position, and the center rear position (on the 36” model only).
8 Fig. 5 Fig. 6 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS Operating the Dual Surface Radiant Element The cooktop is equipped with a dual radiant surf ace element located at the right rear (See Figures 1 & 2) position. Symbols around the knob ar e used to indicate which coil of the dual radiant element will heat.

NOTE The surface “ Element On ” indicator lights will glow when one or more elements are turned on. A quick glance at these indicator lights when cooking is nished is an easy check to be sure all surface elements are turned off .
10 SURFACE COOKING Selecting Surface Cooking Cookware Cookware should hav e at bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element.
11 CARE & CLEANING Cleaning Various Parts of Your Cooktop Before cleaning any part of the cooktop, be sure all controls are turned OFF and the cooktop is COOL. RE MOVE SPILLOVERS AND HEA VY SOILING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REGUL AR CLEANINGS NOW WILL REDUCE THE DIFFICUL T Y AND EXTENT OF A MAJOR CLEANING LA TER.
12 CARE & CLEANING Cleaning Recommendations for the Ceramic Glass Cooktop For light to moderate soil: Apply a few drops of CookT op® Cleaning Creme directly to the cooktop. Use a paper towel or use a non- abrasive plastic type no-scratch pad to clean the entire cooktop surface.
