3 Y our dishwasher cleans b y spra ying a mixture of hot w ater and detergent through the spray arms against soiled surf aces. Each cycle begins with a pre-drain. Next, the dishw asher fills with water cov e ring the filter area. Water is then pumped through the filter and spr a y ar ms.

7 Preparing and Loading Dishes Dish Preparation Scrape a wa y large pieces of food, bones, pits , toothpicks , etc. The continuous filtered wash system will remov e remaining food par ticles. Bur ned-on foods should be loosened bef ore loading. Empty liquids from glasses and cups.

Also , when the upper rac k fills up with glasses and the lower rac k is still empty , you don't hav e to wait anymore f or clean glasses.

10 Dishwasher Dispenser & Deter g ents Filling the Detergent Dispenser The detergent dispenser has one covered and one uncovered cup. Detergent in the uncovered cup falls into the dishwasher when the door is closed. The covered cup opens automatically to release detergent.
11 Dishwasher Dispenser & Detergents (continued) Rinse Aid Rinse aid greatly impr oves drying and reduces water spots and filming. W ater "sheets" off dishes rather than f o r ming water droplets that cling and leav e spots.
12 Overfill Pr otector — keeps dishw asher from o verfilling and is located in the left front corner of the tub . • Clean occasionally with household cleaner containing vinegar or bleach to dissolv e any buildup . • Ov erfill Protector should mov e up and down freely about one inch.
13 Solutions to Common Dishwashing Pr oblems • A void o v er loading and improper loading. (See Preparing and Loading Dishes.) • Use fresh detergent. Old detergent is ineff ective . • Make sure rinse aid dispenser is filled. • Check to see that proper amount of detergent is being used f or cycle selected.
