3 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS • Remove all tape and packaging wrap before using the appliance. Destroy the carton and plastic bags after unpacking the appliance. Never allow children to play with packaging material. Do not r emove the wiring label and other liter ature attached to the appliance.

9 BEFORE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS Control locations of the gas surface burners Y our built-in r ange is equipped with gas surface burners with different B TU ratings. The ability to heat food quicker and in larger volumes incr eases as the burner size increases.
10 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS IMPORTANT In the event of an electrical power outage, the surf ace burners can be lit manually . T o light a surface burner , hold a lit match to the burner head, then slowly turn the surface control knob to LITE. After burner lights turn the knob to desired setting.
11 Multiple Oven Racks Single Oven Rack BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Oven vent location The oven is vented at the center rear of the cooktop . When the oven is on, w arm air is released through the vent. This venting is necessary f or proper air circulation in the oven and good baking results.
12 BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Types of oven racks Y our built-in r ange may be equipped with one or more of the oven r acks styles shown; • Flat handle oven rack (Figure 1). • Flat oven half rack (Figure 2 & 3 - Some models). • Effortless TM oven rack (Figure 4 - Some models).
13 BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTROLS CAUTION REMOVE ALL OVEN RACKS and parts before starting a self-clean cycle. If the oven r acks are left in the oven during the self -clean cycle, the glide ability of the Effortless Oven R ack system will be damaged and will cause all oven r acks to loose their shiny fi nish and or turn blue.
14 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Control pad features READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE OVEN. For satisf actory use of your oven, become familiar with the v arious features and functions of the o ven as described below . Detailed instructions for each feature and function follow later in this Use & Care Guide.
15 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM CONTROL PAD SETTINGS All of the features listed below have minimum and maximum time or temperature settings that may be entered into the control. An ENTRY acceptance beep will sound each time a control pad is touched (the acceptance beep on the Oven Lockout pad is delay ed 3 seconds).
16 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING CONTINUOUS BAKE OR 6 HOUR ENERGY SAVING The TIMER and SELF CLEAN pads cont rol the Continuous Bak e or 6 Hour E ner gy Savi ng f ea tur es . The ov en c ont ro l has a factory preset built -in 6 Hour Energy Saving feature that will shut off the oven if the ov en contr ol is left on f or mor e than 6 hours.
17 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING MINUTE TIMER The TIMER ON . OFF pad controls the Minute Timer feature. The Minute Timer serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will beep when the set time has run out. It does not start or stop cooking. The Minute Timer feature can be used during an y of the other oven contr ol functions.
18 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING QUICK OR POWERPLUS TM PREHEAT Use the preheat feature when using single rack baking to quickly heat the oven to bake temperatures. Use this feature only for standard baking. A reminder tone will sound indicating when to place the food in the ov en.

20 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE Pressing CANCEL w i l l s t o p th e fe at u r e a t a n y t i m e . NOTE The Bake, Broil and Convection elements will cy cle for a better heat distribution. SETTING CONVECTION ROAST This m ode is best for cookin g tender cuts of beef , lamb , park and poultry .
21 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE Pressing CANCEL w i l l s t o p th e fe at u r e a t a n y t i m e . SETTING CONVECTION BROIL Use this mode for thicker cuts of meat, fi sh and poultry . The Con vection Broiling gently browns the exterior and seals in the juices.
22 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE Baking time can be set for any amount of time between 1 minute to 6 hours. The time remaining can be shown in the timer section of the display by pressing BAKE TIME at any moment of the cooking. NOTE If it is desired to have the oven shut off automatically after a set time; enter a BAKE TIME at this step.
23 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING KEEP WARM This mode is best for keeping ov en baked foods warm for serving after cooking has fi nished. The KEEP WARM pad turns ON the K eep Warm featur e and will maintain an oven temperature of 170°F (77°C).
24 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING MY FAVORITE (some models) The My F avorite setting allow you to save y our most frequently used or most complex cooking sequence. This feature will sav e the cooking mode, the target temperature and the bak e time (if any).
25 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE T o assure your electr onic control s safety when broiling with the oven door in broil position, an high speed cooling fan will blow air through the trims above the door(s). SETTING BROIL This mode is best for meats, fi sh and poultry up to 1” thick.
26 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING THE SABBATH FEATURE (for use on the Jewish Sabbath & Holidays) The BAKE TIME and DELAY START pads are used to set the Sabbath feature.

28 What to Expect during Cleaning While the oven is in oper ation, the oven heats to temperatures much higher than those used in normal cooking. Sounds of metal expansion and contraction are normal. Odor is also normal as the food soil is being removed.

30 SETTING KEEP WARM DRAWER CONTROL (If equipped) NOTE The keep warm dr awer is inoper able during the self - clean cycle. The keep warm dr awer is equipped with a latch which may require extr a force when opening and closing the drawer .
31 CARE & CLEANING ( Cleaning Chart ) Cleaning various parts of your appliance Before cleaning any part of the appliance, be sure all controls are turned off and the appliance is COOL. REMOVE SPILLOVERS AND HEAVY SOILING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. REGULAR CLEANING WILL REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MAJOR CLEANING LA TER.
32 CARE & CLEANING Cleaning the cooktop, burner caps & grates The cooktop is designed to make cleaning easier . Because the gas Burners are sealed, cleanups are easy when spillovers are cleaned up immediately . The cooktop, Burner Heads and Caps should be routinely cleaned.
33 CARE & CLEANING CAUTION The door is heavy . For safe, tempor ary storage, lay the door fl at with the inside of the door facing down. CAUTION Be sure the oven is unplugged and all parts are COOL before replacing the o ven light bulb. Do not turn the oven light on during a self -cleaning cycle.

35 BEFORE YOU CALL (Solutions to Common Problems) Oven baking For best cooking results, heat the ov en before baking cookies, breads, cakes, pies or pastries, etc.
36 BEFORE YOU CALL (Solutions to Common Problems) OCCURRENCE POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION Range is not level. Poor installation. Place o ven rack in center of o ven. Place a level on the ov en rack. Adjust leveling legs at base of r ange until the rack is level.
37 OCCURRENCE POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION Fan noise during cooking operation. A cooling fan may automatically turn on and of f to cool internal parts. It is normal, and the fan may continue to run ev en after oven is turned off . Flames inside oven or smoking from vent.
