3 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Grounding type wall receptacle Power cord with 3-prong grounded plug Do not, under any circumstances, cut, remove, or bypass the grounding prong. Electrical information • The refrigerator must be plugged into its own dedicated 115 V olt, 60 Hz.
4 NOTE If your refriger ator is placed with the door hinge side against a wall, you may ha ve to allow additional space so the door can be opened wider . NOTE Raise the front of the refriger ator enough so the doors close freely when opened halfway .
5 NOTE The direction in which your refrigerator doors open (door swing) can be reversed, from left to right or right to left, by moving the door hinges from one side to the other . Reversing the door swi ng should be performedbyaqualiedperson.
6 IMPORTANT T o ensure proper installation of handles, please review these instructions and illustrations thoroughly prior to installing the handles. Additionally , before installing the door handles, make sure the door swing is correct. Y our model will have either a right hand or left hand door swing.
7 To reverse refrigerator/freezer handles: Handles may be easier to reverse while doors are off . Rev erse freezer and refriger ator handles as shown. CAUTION Be sure doors are set aside in a secure position where they cannot fall and cause personal injury .
8 CONNECTING THE WATER SUPPLY Before Installing The Water Supply Line, You Will Need: • BasicT ools:adjustablewrench,at-blade screwdriver , and Phillips TM screwdriver • Access to a household cold water line with water pressure between 30 and 100 psi.
9 IMPORTANT After connecting the water supply , refer to “How to Prime the W ater Supply System” for important information about priming an empty water supply system. Y our refrigerator’ s water supply system includes severaltubinglines,aw aterlter ,awater valve, and a w ater tank.
10 IMPORTANT T urning the refrigerator/freezer temper ature control to “0” turns off the compressor and prevents the refrigerator f rom cooling, but does not disconnect the power to the light bulb and other electrical components. T o turn off power to your refrigerator , you must unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
