7 Surface cooking settings Use the chart to determine the correct setting for the type of food y ou are preparing. Note: The size and type of cookw are used will inuence the setting needed for best cooking results.
8 NOTE Due to the high intensity of heat gener ated by the surface elements, the glass surface will turn light gr een when the element will be turned off . This phenomenon is normal and the glass will come back to its original white color after it has completely cooled down.

11 SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS CAUTION Do not place plastic items such as salt and pepper shakers, spoon holders or plastic wrappings on cooktop when it is in use. These items could melt or ignite. P otholders, towels or wooden spoons could catch re if placed too close to the surface elements.

18 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE The surface elements cannot be activated when the Lockout feature is active (see the section: The electronic surface element control (ESEC)). SETTING LOCKOUT FEATURE The pad controls the Lockout feature. The Lockout feature automatically locks the oven doors, the control panel and the cooktop.
19 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING QUICK PREHEAT The QUICK PREHEAT pad controls the Quick Preheat feature. The Quick Preheat feature will bring the ov en up to temperature and then indicate when to place the food in the oven. Use this feature when recipes call for preheating.

23 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS NOTE Baking time can be set for any amount of time between 1 minute to 6 hours. The time remaining can be shown in the timer section of the display by pressing at any moment of the cooking.
24 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS This mode is best for meats, sh and poultry up to 1” thick. B roiling is a method of cooking tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven. The high heat cooks quickly and gives a rich, brown outer ap- pearance.

26 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS SETTING KEEP WARM This mode is best for keeping ov en baked foods warm for serving after cooking has nished. The KEEP WARM pad turns ON the K eep Warm featur e and will maintain an oven temperature of 170°F (77°C).

29 What to Expect during Cleaning Wh i le th e ov en is in op er ati o n, th e ov en hea t s to tem pe ra tu r es much higher than those used in normal cooking. Sounds of metal expansion and contraction are normal. Odor is also normal as the food soil is being removed.
