Y ou will receiv e an identification label for your Lif eBook notebook, which, if y our notebook is ever lost, ma y help in getting it returned to you. Y ou w ill also receiv e tech- nical support access and us eful product mailings.
32 LifeBook B Series – Section Thr ee Power Management Y our LifeBook notebook has man y options and features for conserving batter y power . Some of these features are automatic and need no use r intervention, such as those for the internal modem.

37 User Installable Features Lithium ion Battery Y our LifeBook notebook has a Lithium ion battery that pro vides power for operating your not ebook when no external po wer sour ce is a vailable. The batt ery is durable and long lasting , but should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, high voltages, chem icals or other hazards.

55 T roubleshooting Hard Driv e Problems Y ou cannot acc ess your hard driv e. The setup utility is incorrectly set for y our internal (P r imar y Master) or optional second hard driv e (Primary Slave). Revise BIOS sett ings to set both Primary Master and Primary Slave c orrectly .
56 LifeBook B Series – Section Five Modem Problems Messages about modem operat ion. Messages about modem operat ion are generated by whichever modem application is in use. See your application soft ware documentation for additional information. The modem driver has not been pr operly initializ ed.
57 T roubleshooting Pow e r F a i l u r e s Y ou turn on y our LifeBook notebook and nothing seems to happ en. The installed battery is completely discharged or ther e is no power adapt er (A C or A uto/A irline) installed. Check the Status Indicat or P anel to determine th e presence and conditi on of the batter y .

59 T roubleshooting Y our system di splay w on ’t turn on when the system is turned on or w hen the system has resumed. The system may be passw ord- protected. Check the status indicat or panel to verify that the Securit y icon is blinking. If it is blinking, enter your password.
