2 1.2 From Arrival through Operation 1.3 Checking the Contents of the Scanner Package When you open the scanne r package, please handle the main unit and its attachments carefully. Make sure the scanner package contains al l the parts listed in the package contents list that is included in the package box.

6 3.3 Setting the Scanner Name A scanner name may be set to provide a network alias for the device. 1. Select the [System Settings] tab on the top menu. 2. Select the [Scanner Name] tab on the left side menu. ⇒ The "Scanner Name" screen appears.

8 3.6 Setting the DNS Server A primary DNS and secondary DNS can be set. 1. Select the [Network Settings] tab on the top menu. 2. Select the [DNS Server] tab on the left sid e menu.

Select the [Network Settings] tab on the top menu. 2. Press the [Down] button on the left side menu. ⇒ Scroll the left side menu down until the [Ping] tab appears.
