2-6 2.4 ADF Ou tpu t Tray (Figure 2-5) i). Hold the out put paper rack some 30 degrees aslant as shown in Fi gure 2-5. ii). Inser t the thre e protr usions on the output pa per tr ay to the thr ee sl ots on the AD F. iii). Re le ase the pa per tr ay gentl y.
2-7 2.5 Docume nt Loading For fl atbed scanning . Documents that can not b e scanned using the ADF can be pl aced on the fl atbe d f or scanning. Refer to Fig ure 2-6) i). Place the docume nt to be scanne d onto the d ocument g lass f ace d own. ii). Positi on the d ocument so that the upper -r ig ht corner is a li gned wi th the reference ma rk.

3-3 3.2 Cleaning the Glass The procedu res: i). Soak a cotton swab wi th some isopr ophy alcohol (95%) . ii). O pen the ADF un it an d docu men t co ver a s sh own in Figure 6 -2. Wipe the glass of fl atbed area and ADF area by movi ng the swab from side t o s ide.
