10 www .gat eway .c om C onnec ting the neck str ap T o connect the neck strap: 1 Thread the thin lo op through the two strap c onnector holes on your play er . 2 Thread the pl astic connector throug h the thin loop, and pu ll tight. 3 Insert the plastic plug on th e neck strap into the pla stic connector attached to the thin loop.
11 www .gatew ay .com Installing the batter y T o install the battery: 1 Slide the cover lock on th e back of your player into the unlocked positio n. 2 Pull the co ver away fro m your player .
12 www .gat eway .c om 4 Lift the cover to o pen the battery compartment. 5 Insert the battery into the compartment. Make sure t hat you match the + and – on the battery with the + and – in the compartment. 6 Slide the battery compartment cover closed.

18 www .gat eway .c om Creating a play loop Y ou can create a loop of files tha t will play repeatedly . Y o ur pla yer plays the files in sequence. After your pla yer plays the last fil e, it starts p laying the first file a gain. T o create a play loop: 1 T urn on your player , then press dow n on the MENU wheel to open the menu.
19 www .gatew ay .com 3 Tu r n t h e MENU whee l to the right one or more times to highlight RECORD , then press down on the MENU wheel to start the recording. 4 Press (play/pause ) on the j oystick to stop the recording. Y ou can press (play /paus e ) on the joysti ck again to add to the recording.

32 www .gat eway .c om T o create MP3 files: 1 T o have Mus icmatch au tomatically list the alb um, artist, an d track nam es of your CD, then use that inf ormation for naming a nd storing your MP3 files, connect to the Internet before inserting your CD.
