4 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS T ools and P ar ts G ather the r equired tools and part s befor e starting installation. Read and follow the instructions provided with any tools list ed here. ■ Flat-blade screwdriver ■ #2 Phillips screwdriver ■ Adjustable wre nch that opens to 1" (25.
5 ■ If you ar e using a power supply cor d, a grounde d electrical outlet located within 2 ft (610 mm ) of either side of the dryer . See “Electrical Require ments.” ■ A sturdy floor to support the total dryer weight of 127 lbs (57.6 kg). The combined weight of a companion appliance should also be considered.
6 Installation spacing for ca b inet i nstallation ■ For cabinet installation, with a door , minimum ventilation openings in the top of the cabinet are r equired.
7 If using a power supply cor d : Use a UL listed power supply cord k it marked for use with clothes dryers. The kit should contain: ■ A UL listed 30-amp power supply cor d, rated 120/240 volt mini mum. The cord should be type SRD or SRDT and be at least 4 ft (1.
8 Electrical Connection Power Supply Cor d W ARNIN G Fire Hazar d Use a new UL liste d 30 amp power supply cor d . Use a UL liste d strain relief. Disconnect power b efore making electrical connections. Connect neutral wire (white or center wir e) to center terminal (silver).
9 ■ Put power supply cord thr ough the strain relief. Be sure that the wire insulation on the power supply cor d is inside the strain relief. The strain relie f should have a tight fit with the dryer cabinet and be in a horizontal position. Do not further tighten strain relief scre ws at this point.
10 2. Remove neutral ground wire fr om external ground conductor scr ew . Connect neutral gr ound wire and th e neutral wire (white or center w ire) of power supply cor d under center , silver -colored terminal block screw . Tighten screw . A C B D E A.

17 5. Rotate outer door 180°. 180˚ Reverse hinge 1. Use a small flat-blade scr ewdriver to remove 2 plug strips from the inner door . Slide the head of the screwdriver under the plugs, being certain not to scratch the inner door surface. Lift up. 2.

19 DRYER USE Starting Y our Dryer W ARNING Explosion Hazard Keep ammable materials and vapors, such as g asoline, away from dryer. Do not dry anythin g that has ever had anythin g ammable on it (even after washin g ). Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, explosion, or re.
20 T o use a Time d Cycle ■ Select a Ti med Cycle. ■ Press MORE TIME or LESS TI ME until the desired drying time is displayed. T ap MORE TIME or LESS TIME and the time will change by 1-minute intervals. Press and hold MORE TIME or LESS TIME, and the time will change by 5-minute intervals.
21 Damp The Damp light illuminates in an Auto Cycle when the laundry is approximately 80% dry . Cool Down The Cool Down light illuminates during the cool down part of the cycle. Laundry cools for ease in handli ng. Clothes Dry The Clothes Dry light illuminates when the drying cycle is finished.
22 Modifiers Use Modifiers to select temperatures for the Timed Cycles only . Press TEMPE RA TURE until the desir ed temperature setting glows. T emperatur e modifiers cannot be used with the Auto Cycles. Air Dry Use the Air Dry Modifier for items that requir e drying without heat such as rubber , plastic and heat-sensitive fabri cs.
23 T o use the d rying rack Do not remove the lint scre en. 1. Op en dryer door . A A. Front edge 2. Place drying rack inside dryer drum, positioning the back wire on the ledge of the inner dryer ba ck panel. Push down on front edge of dr ying rack to secure over the lint screen.

25 Va c a t i o n a n d M o v i n g C a r e V acation care Operate your dryer only when you are at home. If you will be on vacation or not using your dryer for an extended period of time, you should: 1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power . 2. Clean li nt screen.
26 ■ Is the clothing knotte d or b alle d up? When balled up, the load will bounce, causing the dryer to vibrate. Separate the load items and restart the dryer .
27 Lint on loa d ■ Is the lint screen clogge d ? Clean lint screen. Check for air movement. Stains on loa d or d rum ■ Wa s d ryer fa b ric softener pr operly use d ? Add dryer fabric softener sh eets at the beginning of the cycle. Fabric softener sheets added to a partially dried load can stain your garments.
